Boyd & Darla CostinYour Life Together
June 2010
Congratulations!
Mom & Dad,
This book is a small collection of the memories you created over the first 50 years of your marriage.
As you look back and see where you began and how you progressed through the years, the result was a beautiful home, and successful business. All made possible by your hard work and dedication.
You combined your strengths and used them to build up the family farm and turned the house into a showplace! You gave to your children and grand-children your very best. You taught us responsibility and capability. You taught us that happiness is found not through other people, but within our self. These lessons are with us today helping us be self-reliant and productive.
Through the years you continued to learn and visited lots of different coun-tries. You embraced the cultures of our world and found beauty in them. And brought a little of that beauty home!
Through your dedication to each other, you created so many memories, so many traditions, but most important you created a home. A place filled with laughter and filled with love.
We thank you for your legacy of love and commitment.
On this your 50th Wedding Anniversary, we wish you continued love. No one deserves it more!

Dearly Beloved...
Its not often that a couple gets to be married twice! After your first wedding at the Wee Kirk O’ the Heather Chapel in Las Vegas. You went home where Darla’s minister at the Presbyterian Church insisted on marrying you again!
The Early Years In California
Moving To The Farm
What a tremendous step to take! You packed up four kids and started a completely different life. Mom learned to drive grain trucks and bale hay. Many times she took one of the kids with her and would sing and read the hours away.
Dad used his talent for fabrication to patch together machinery and his sheer deter-mination to wring success out of the family farm. Between the cattle and the crops there was rarely a peaceful moment.
Your commitment to each other and to the life you were creating, made this move a successful one!
