Advertising IndustryAdvertising Industry uses photography to sell and show off the product. It is a form of graphic communication which sends a message to a target audience.
Some of examples of this are Nike, Cadbury’s and Honda.
I have researched images from the photographer Oliviero Toscani who took photos which highlighted issues that were not being dealt with such as racism or HIV. These images are shown to the top right.
Other Photographers are Jonathan Knowles, Michael Molloy, Justin Windle, Moy Williams and James Broome. Some of their images are shown to the right and on the next slide.

Fashion IndustryThe Fashion Industry uses photography to fashion, highlight new seasons clothes, new ranges and trends. It is trying to advertise the product and pull people in.
I have found examples of the magazines such as Vogue, Elle. And also they used shops window displays. The website for Skull Candy headphones uses a lot of fashion photography - shown on the below.
Some photographers of fashion are Sebastian Kim, Alice Hawkins, Richard Avedon, Andrew Hobbs and Steven Meisel which is shown on the next slide.

Music Industry The Music Industry uses photography such as album covers, posters, music videos, festivals, internet, promotional material, gigs and magazines. There are examples of this are on the right.They promote their band or music. To sell the tickets for gigs.
Photographers of music are Lindsay Best, Mike Lerner, Rukes and Neil Favila. This can be found on the next slide.

Sports IndustryThe Sports Industry uses photography in magazines, programmes and newspapers. They could sell on DVD covers and in sports shops. The way sports industry uses photography is shown on the right.
Types of sports such as mountain bike, motorsports, skiing, etc… They use it to show the interest in it and how adventurous it is.
On the next slide, I have found some photographers of sports these are Bob Martin, Mark Pain, Nigel Farrow, Tim Clayton and Max Rossi. I have included some of their examples.

PhotojournalismPhotojournalism is what happening in the media / news. It is current and also in the past.
They do it to communicate in any languages. Wherever you go if you take a picture, it will tell you what is happening and the mood of the scene. It informs of what’s going on.

Fine Art PhotographyFine Art photography is used in landscapes and images that are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Sometimes there is a concept / meaning behind it and people’s opinions will be different. I have selected an image of white simple flowers on the rock on the right because I like it and it pleases me but other people may disagree.
