PORT Homeless Shelter
What a busy time of year. Does it feel like all you do is rush
around? I would like to thank each and every one of the vol-
unteers that are making our second and final week for the
PORT Homeless Shelter Ministry happen. Without each of
you making time in your busy lives, this ministry would be
just a dream instead of the reality it has become. Thank you.

Our endowment continues to grow. Last year it received contributions in almost every monthand now totals $18,450. Once this core principle reaches $50,000, half of its annual growthwill help our Church expand its mission programs, provide for special training of Churchmembers, upgrade our facilities and grounds, or whatever is needed to help us do Gods work
better. The Endowment Committee has set a goal this year to expand our total contributions to
$25,000. Individual gifts are appreciated, as well as larger amounts which can be madethrough bequests in wills, stocks, and insurance policies. Now that the Kitchen Fund hasended successfully, perhaps you may be interested in supporting the Church fund that will keepon giving and giving and giving. Please call Whit Mayes at 874-2525 if you have any ques-
tions.

DPPK is heading toward Spring Break, and the end of our school yearis rapidly approaching! We have had many fun experiences this month, in-
cluding a visit from the Childrens Museum of Virginia, visits from a trickyleprechaun, and an Easter egg hunt!
I continue to be thankful for the way DPPK can participate in and con-tribute to the ministries of the church. Our families donated around 50items to the DUCO food closet, and some of them even came out to theEaster egg hunt sponsored by the DPC youth. I am looking forward toseeing how many of our students, both past and present, attend VacationBible School this summer.
We still have many spots available in our classes for next school year.I would appreciate it if you continue to spread the word about our wonder-ful program with your family, friends, and neighbors. Please encouragethem to check out our website at www.dppre-k.com. If you know anyonelooking for preschool, please invite them to come and take a tour or togive me a call. Thank you for all that you do to support DPPK!
