Most organizations are undergoing some kind of digital transformation. Ostensibly,
they are driven to this change by the productivity improvements and to stay
competitive in the market.
Y Soft, as a solution provider that enables organizations to improve productivity
through print and document capture workflows, wondered what employees think about
their company’s digital efforts, or lack thereof.
Interesting highlights:
• Sixty percent said their company did not have any policies about printing and
seventy percent said there were no scan policies
• Despite a company’s belief that digital workflows will make employees more
productive, employees believe that scan to email is a productive use of their time
• Over 50% of employees think their company has too many paper-based processes
and all that printing has a negative environmental impact
• Fifty-four per cent are using cloud storage, whether it be company-owned or
personal accounts

In August, 2017, Y Soft commissioned a survey of 100 (N=100) employed individuals
in the U.S. between the ages of 18 and 44 to ask about their view related to digital
transformation and their workplace expectations. The wide-ranging survey was
conducted via SurveyMonkey and serves as an indicator of what companies should
know about how their employees feel about their company’s digital reputation and
meeting the needs of millennial and early-stage career employees.
