OBJECTIVES OF DILG RADIO
To set up a nationwide public address
system using satellite radio broadcast for theDILG and ultimately for the President
To mix easy listening entertainment with DILGnews and public affairs
To cascade the nationwide broadcast down tothe municipality and barangay level
For Local Government Units to gain immediateaccess to DILG and National Government
officials
For LGUs to have a virtual community tolearn from each other about best practices ingovernance

THE AUDIENCE
A nationwide public address system of the DILG (1,400
municipalities + 14, 000 barangay halls) = 15,400 sites
Estimated footprint Municipalities: 200 people/day x 1,400municipalities = 280,000 people/day
Estimated footprint barangay level: 20 people/ day x 14,000barangays = 280,000 people/day
The primary audience: LGU officials
The secondary audience: Constituents in and around themunicipal hall or barangay hall.

THE TECHNICAL
