INTRODUCTION
The following information and implied proposal pertains to a custom fabricated FM antenna system. The system will meet all FCC requirements. SWR, LP is a leader in broadcast innovation and product dependability. From the design phase to final production, every SWR component surpasses industry standards of dependability and performance, therefore ensuring years of worry free operation. We look forward to helping you meet your broadcasting needs. Please review and complete the following applicable information. Feel free to direct any questions to a qualified SWR, LP representative.
WHAT WE NEED Coverage Area From the tower/mounting structure, we need to know the directions and minimum desired power levels to cities of note. We need to know the directions to places where maximum power is less crucial. Support Structure Information Must include: All FM and TV broadcast systems within 60 meters or less from the proposed directional system, the orientation of the support structure relative to true north, the size of the support structure, the method of attachment of the leg and support braces in the antenna aperture, and the location of guy attachments in the aperture. Guy wires forty feet or less horizontally from the antenna must be made of insulating material. The location and attachment characteristics of all conduits, ladders, feed lines, lighting, and other pertinent obstacles located within the aperture of the antenna must also be included. FCC Filing Must Include envelope pattern filed with the FCC. If the data is not the product of SWR, LP, we may not be able to provide 85% of the required envelope. We must have a copy of a construction permit prior to antenna testing. Final Notes SWR, LP does not accept the responsibility of determining the safety of the support structure. If there is doubt about the structures ability to safely support the proposed antenna array, contact SWR prior to installation. For further technical information, direct your inquiries to a qualified SWR, LP representative. Contact Us: phone 800‐762‐7743 fax 814‐472‐5552

PATTERN DESIGN SPECIFICS Pattern Design The proposed design is based on the envelope pattern filed with the FCC. SWR, LP will strive to achieve a vertical and horizontal pattern that will match the envelope pattern as closely as possible. Composite horizontal and vertical maximum relative data will meet an RMS of equal to or greater than 85% of the filed envelope. The RMS of the vertical plane will not exceed the RMS of the horizontal plane. Antenna Orientation Antenna alignment procedures should be carried out by a licensed surveyor as prescribed by the FCC. It is further recommended that the same surveyor be used to verify the orientation of the tower and to align the directional antenna. Accurate and detailed information limits delays and additional costs. Antenna Mounting
‐ No obstructions (other than those specified in the final design / blueprint) should be within 75 feet horizontally of the antenna.
‐ No obstructions (other than those specified in the final design / blueprint) should be within 10 feet vertically of the antenna. Un‐insulated guy wires should be a minimum distance of 40 feet horizontally from the antenna.
Field Tuning SWR, LP recommends that an SWR certified technician be employed to inspect and field tune all directional FM antennas.
