Communications• Target audiences:
• Faculty, employees, students, key donors/alumni, community members, news media
• Tactics:• Presidential announcement/address, publications/signage, social media, news
media, web, etc.
Cascading the PlanObjectives:1. Inspire ownership of the plan by university leadership.
2. Ensure all units and members of the organization have seen the plan and understand their specific role.
3. Inspire people to embrace the values/culture discussed in the plan.
4. Generate discussion and input on the plan, tactics, etc.
● HR Toolkit to facilitate plan cascade and discussion of values.

• President’s dashboard tracks key university metrics related to Strategic Plan.
• Individual schools/colleges/units track initiatives related to their annual plans.
• Currently tracking more than 150 initiatives related to achieving goal and objectives of the plan.
• High percentage are on track to meet or exceed goals.
Future Strategic Plan discussion/reporting:• President’s dashboard review (quarterly)• Board retreat discussion• Board presentations on specific focus areas:
