Don’t Stop Believing -
The Power of your Beliefs in
Keeping a Positive and Optimistic
Mindset
Dr. Victor Schueller

Welcome!
We may not realize the impact our thoughts can have on our body and our lives. While they seem like they are harmless or insigificant entities of energy, scientific evidence suggests that what we think can actually have an impact on our genes and our physical and mental well-being!
2
What we’ll talk about...
During this session you will learn:
● The tremendous impact your thoughts and beliefs have on
your body's cells that can impact your health and well-
being
● The truth about what really controls our genetics (and the
answer will surprise you!)
● The "stick man" concept that can help you turn around the
way you think to be more positive and optimistic
● The power of the subconscious mind and how to start
changing "bad" programming and replace it with "better"
programming

The Biology of Belief
What we’ve learned about our cells

“
“Observations from experiments published 80 years ago challenge the
assumption that the genes are the brains of the operation. When one removes the
brain from a living individual-chicken with its head cut off notwithstanding-that
individual dies. But if a nucleus is removed from a cell, a process called enucleation, the cell survives, and many can live for
two or more months without their genes! In fact, enucleated cells will continue to
function normally until they need to replace protein parts vital to their survival.
6
“
Genes are simply blueprints used to
make protein parts. Enucleated cells
eventually die, not due to an immediate
absence of genes, but because they
cannot replace their worn-out protein
parts and, as a result, they inevitably
begin to decay. While traditional
thinking has taught us to believe that
the nucleus is the cell’s brain, in truth,
the nucleus is the functional equivalent
of the cell’s gonads, its reproductive
system.7
“
So, if the genes are not the brain, what
is? The brain is actually the cell
membrane, the equivalent of the cell’s
skin. Built into the membrane are
protein switches that respond to the
environmental signals by relaying their
information to internal protein pathways.
A different membrane switch exists for
almost every environmental signal
recognized by a cell. Some switches
respond to estrogen, some to
adrenaline, some to calcium, some to
light waves, and so on.8

“95 percent of your life comes from the
subconscious program. So by definition
your life is a printout of your subconscious
programs...
So the things that you like and that come
easily to you in your life are there
because you have a program that allows
them to be there. In contrast anything that
you have to work hard at, put a lot of
effort into or anything you have to
struggle for to make it happen, is a result
of your programs not supporting that.
So if you're trying to find a relationship, or
you can never get into a relationship and
you're thinking it's not in my fate to be in a
relationship, then this is not true. It is
because whatever programs your mother
and father and family had about
relationships is not supportive.
And the second reason is that you play
these programs 95 percent of the time
and you don't see them, so that means at
least 95 percent of the time you were
sabotaging yourself and you don’t see it.
And therefore you never understood why
your relationships were not working...first
it is about recognizing that the patterns
come from programming. And that you
can change them.
After you are seven you form habits by
repeating something over and over and
over again. Practicing, repeating,
practicing.
So it is about habituation, where you
make a practice out of something, every
day repeat it over and over again.”
