• The ECORAD collaboration aims to develop a dual compact system for imaging in Medicine, integrating an US-probe with a compact gamma camera.
• ECORAD dual modality imager is planned to obtain functional (Radionuclide imaging) and anatomic (Ultrasound Imaging) information for a more reliable diagnosis in Medicine.
• Ultrasounds (US) are a cost-effective and reliable method, representing an easy ways to assemble a portable devices.

The SPECT/US hybrid imager is the first integrated detector able to carry out fusion of morphological (anatomical) and functional contents for medical application.
The scintillation detector will be able to reconstruct volume image by an advanced reconstruction algorithm for gamma ray tomosynthesis dedicated to slant collimator, without a tomographic ring.
