CALL FOR PAPERS
Papers to be presented at RCELAM 2009 should be in English,Malay or Indonesian language. Abstract of not more than 250words along with the application form should reach conference
secretariat before 31st of August 2009. Full paper submissionof not more than 12000 words must reach conference secre-tariat before 1st of October 2009. Papers received after thesubmission deadline will not be included in the conference pro-ceeding. Please note that final acceptance of a paper will begiven only after receipt of the participants registration feesand completed registration form. Please include title of paper,full name (s), Affiliation, Current Position, an email address andat least 3 keywords that best describe the subject of yourpaper.

Welcome to the 1st Regional Conference on Educational Leadership and Management (RCELAM2009) which will be held on 10 12 November 2009 at Institut Aminuddin Baki Northern Branch(National Institute of Educational Management and Leadership, Ministry of Education Malaysia),Jitra, Kedah, Malaysia. This conference is for educational scholars, researchers and leaders in thefield of leadership and management to share their researches, theories and new ideas with grass-root practitioners particularly school principals and head teachers and vice-versa.
The conference theme Globalization : Current Trends in Educational Leadership and Managementwill address a range of critically important issues relating to educational leadership and manage-ment especially in the era of a globalised world which demands new perspectives and practices inleading and managing education system. Moreover, the speed in which globalization is takingplace compels the policy makers and practitioners to think strategically in making the educationsystem remain relevant.
