PERSONAL SUMMARY
I am a licensed architect and a registered interior designer with a background in
fine arts and more than thirty years of interior and architectural practice
encompassing public libraries, municipal, government and higher education
projects. My holistic approach to interior and architectural design focuses on a
collaborative process that engages the client and the project team in creative
problem solving.
RECENT PROJECTS
Arlington Central Library and City Council Chambers, Arlington, TX
80,000 SF Library, 6,500 SF City Council Chambers, $28 million, Est. completion
2018
Project Architect: Developed multiple design development iterations of
the library and city council building massing and exterior elevations for
presentation and approval to the client.
Performed and coordinated all phases of interior architecture and design,
including lighting design, acoustics, A/V integration, custom fabrications,
graphic design, and FF&E services.
Southern Methodist University Fondren Library Renovation, Dallas, TX
268,710 SF, $11.5 million, 2016
Project Architect: Assisted in compiling a second feasibility study with a
reduced scope from the original.The majority of the project scope
involved the design resolution of life safety and accessiblity issues
throughout the connected buildings. Modified the stairs along the path of
egress to comply with current life safety codes.
Designed and coordinated all phases of interior renovation of the
Centennial Reading Room, adjacent foyer and Special Collections Exhibit
Space, Special Collections Reading Room, Collaborative Computing and
the Learning Commons.
University of North Texas Health Science Center Student Affairs and
Admissions Building, Fort Worth, TX
28,000 SF, $3 million, 2015
Project Architect: Developed programming and implemented interior
design documents to accommodate adaptive re-use of an existing two
story medical office into a School of Admissions and Office of Student
Affairs.

Main Library at Goodwood, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Lead Interior Designer: Joint venture project as The Library Design
Collaborative (Dewberry with Tipton Associates and Cockfield Jackson of
Baton Rouge). Collaborated in schematic and design development
phases on the building massing and elevations.
Designed and coordinated all phases of interior architecture and design,
including development of monumental stair, lighting design, acoustics,
A/V integration, custom fabrications, graphic design and FF&E services.
Midland Centennial Library, Midland, Texas
33,000 SF, $1.7 million, Construction, FF&E and Technology 2013
Project Designer: Developed and designed concepts conceived by the
client and patrons. Features include an acoustically sound media lab to
create videos and music, touch screen monitors that locate all media in
the library and a flexible floor space large enough to accommodate
traveling exhibits.
Dallas City Hall Lobby Renovation, Dallas, Texas

Project Designer: Presented multiple conceptual design options of a new
monumental stair to replace the outdated escalator in the west lobby.
Designed sound attenuation panels along the south wall that rotate in
fixed positions to become double sided exhibit wall space. The acoustic
ceilings and panels reduced the existing reverberation time from five
seconds to less than one second.
Schaumburg Township Main Library Teen Quad, Schaumburg, Illinois

Project Architect: Performed interior design and FF&E services for a teen
area in Schaumburg Township Main Library. Designed custom service
desks and LED color changing wall surrounding the media lab.
University Park Public Library, University Park, Texas
14,970 SF, $2.5 Million, 2012
Project Architect: Designed and coordinated interior finish-out of a public
library on the second floor of a five story mixed use building. Space was
maximized by designing built-in display shelving along the core and
perimeter walls.
