ELECTRIC TOOL INSTALLATION

1) Go to the link: http://cmosedu.com/cmos1/electric/electric_install.htm

2) Create a directory C:\Electric

3)Download the electric-9.03.jar file given in the link(3rd step) in this directory.

4) Double clicking on the file starts electric

LTSPICE tool installation

1) Download LTSPICE given in the link : http://www.linear.com/designtools/software/

2) Install LTSPICE

3) Go to the directory : C:\Program Files. Find the folder LTC.

4) copy the folder LTC into C:\Electric

COMBINING ELECTRIC AND LTSPICE (http://cmosedu.com/cmos1/ltspice/ltspice_electric.htm)

1) Start the electric tool from the directory : C:\Electric

2) Start Electric and go to File -> Preferences (see image below). The Run Program path is (for example): LTC\LTspiceIV\scad3.exe

Note that while the Run Program field is not case sensitive the with args: field is case sensitive (so use the uppercase names as seen) For copying into the with args: field: -i ${FILENAME} -r ${FILENAME_NO_EXT}.raw -o ${FILENAME_NO_EXT}.out

NOTE : THE RUN PROGRAM PATH IS LTC\LTspiceIV\scad3.exe . It is not C:\Program Files\LTC\LTspiceIV\scad3.exe.

*NOTE: Whenever creating new libraries save it in the folder C:\Electric
