• Delay can be achieved by different techniques.
• Lengthening the Microstrip, adding dummy capacitance, Digital delay (buffers),…
• The buffers are to restore the signals power.
• Finally adding all the signals by a simple combiner

• Microstrip is a type of electrical transmission line which can be fabricated using PCB technology.
• The configuration of the microstrip will be such that the conductor is surrounded by metallic planes, as in a tunnel.

Testing the µ-strip Line
• We expect to get greater internal loss in high frequency:
• Typical Duroid loss = 0.3 dB/λ µ-strip Line length=50* λ Total loss=15dB
• We need few points in order to characterize the losses of the µ-strip Line

Components and Suitable DevicesEVA-ADF4350 with an integrated PLL is
the supposed unit to generate a stable 0.5:4.4 GHz signal
We deal with this unit as a black box with given parameters
It’s supposed to be the source signal for the microstrip test circuit
Output frequency fixed on 4.16GHz

Hittite, Millitec, TriQuint, Ducommun, Miteq…
• We’ll show samples of such devices that are relevant to build the testing diagram
• There are also a lot of devices which will be cataloged by the end of the project.
