Three-Phase Induction Motors WGM Line
The WGM motors were developed for many different applications in industry, and are ideal for variable speed applications and places where the motor size is a critical factor.Its refrigeration system by means of a water jacket, with water circulating through the frame and endshields, produces a more effective heat exchange with low noise and little heat dissipation to the environment. That enables operation with variable speed and constant torque even at low speeds.

Wind Turbines
The AGW wind turbines have active control of the blade pitch angle and rotor variable speed, with a permanent magnets synchronous generator and direct coupling to the rotor, with no need of a gearbox.Provided with a full power converter, which enables a smooth and controlled connection to the power grid. The direction control system keeps the turbine always facing the wind, even when it is not in operation.The wind turbines have an especially designed cooling system that enables them to be installed in aggressive environments.

As a market leader in supplying motors and generators, WEG also offers inspection, repair and repowering services of medium and large electrical machines and hydraulic turbines, as follows:

Those services can be performed at our factories or in the field, including machines from other manufacturers. WEG uses the same technology employed to manufacture new equipment to execute the services.The services at WEG factories on motors and generators are performed at the factories in Minneapolis (USA), Hosur (India), Jaraguá do Sul (Brazil) and São Bernardo do Campo (Brazil), which is also qualified to perform services on equipment for application in explosive atmospheres. The services on hydraulic turbines are performed at the Joaçaba Unit (Brazil). Those plants have all the structure and support of the engineering, industrial process and quality control departments, enabling prompt, reliable and quality services.
