The ENERGY STAR mark ranks among the highest level of influence on product purchase among all consumer emblems, similar in ranking to the Good Housekeeping Seal.

In 2010 alone, Americans—with the help of ENERGY STAR—saved nearly $18 billion on their energy bills and prevented greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to the annual emissions of 33 million vehicles.

• Qualified fixtures last 10-35 times longer and come with a manufacturer-backed warranty of at least two years.

ENERGY STAR Light Fixtures: Less Heat, More Light
ENERGY STAR qualified light fixtures use light sources that generate significantly less heat and distribute light more efficiently than standard incandescent bulbs.

The CFLs in an ENERGY STAR qualified light fixture only need to be changed once every 7 years on average, compared with an annual ladder-climb for incandescent light bulbs.
ENERGY STAR Light Fixtures: Longer Life
ENERGY STAR qualified LED light fixtures last at least 25 times longer than a standard fixture with an incandescent bulb.
