caring for your aquarium1 Every 2 weeks a 30% water change is desirable toreduce pollution in the water. Use a sachet of watertreatment in 4 litres/1 US Gallon of tap water. A cleaner Pump (not supplied) is an easy way toremove debris and siphon out the water. After settingup never use tap water to clean the ceramic media, this will kill biological filtration.

2 Every 6 weeks a new filter cartridge will be requiredto maintain the water condition. The cartridge and instructions are in the Service Kit.

Green Water is caused by algae growth. Some algae isnatural in healthy aquariums. However, if youraquarium water quickly turns green it may be causedby too much light, overfeeding, too many fish or high levels of nitrate and phosphate in the tap water.

3 The Air Stone in the base of the aquarium willeventually become blocked restricting the flow ofbubbles into the aquarium, the Air stone should bereplaced every 6 months.

The Air Pump will wear out over time and couldbecome noisy, reducing the flow of bubbles even afterchanging the air stone. Replace immediately afterfailure, to avoid problems.

4 cleaning the aquarium requires care to preventscratching. Never use household detergents, polishesor scouring pads. The outside of the bowl can bewiped with a soft cloth or purchase a Plastic ScratchRemover & Polish kit. The inside should be cleanedwith a cleaning Pad.

choosing andintroducing fishDo not crowd with decor or over stockwith fish, your biOrb FLOW will houseup to 6 small fish. When introducingsmall fish, add gradually at a rate of 2every 28 days. This will encourage apopulation of filter bacteria in theceramic media that will keep the waterclean. Adding fish too quickly maycause the water to be polluted andunsafe for fish. When adding fishfollow instructions from your aquaticshop to ensure the fish are gentlyacclimatised to their new home. Feedeach fish 4-6 of the pellets suppliedper day, do not overfeed. cAUTiON:Overfeeding will harm fish andpollute water.
