SUNTORY FOUNDATION FOR ARTS’ SUMMER FESTIVAL 2015
“Summer Festival” at Suntory Hall has introduced the music of the 20th century and beyond, and the music at the forefront since 1987. In 2013 it showed a different facet with a newly launched project “The Producer’s Series” that presents the producer’s picks spanning from the contemporary “classics” to various challenging performances beyond the boundary of music. This festival was one of the major projects presented for years by the Suntory Music Foundation, predecessor of the Suntory Foundation for Arts, and will hence explore and apprise creative frontiers of music. Shin-ichiro Ikebe inaugurated this series in 2013, followed by Toshiro Kido in 2014.
