WELCOME TO WORSHIP Welcome to worship at Carmichael Presbyterian Church. As God’s
people, worship is what we are called to do. Whether together or apart,
near or far, God’s people are called to be the church and to worship the
God of love incarnate in Jesus Christ.
During these 40 days of Lent leading toward Easter, we seek
repentance and renewal as we build a digital community that is life-
giving. We hope you will join us in worship, devotion, and service. Our
10:00 a.m. live stream worship service blends traditional and
contemporary styles and includes pre-recorded videos which provide
an opportunity for members of our faith community to participate in
new ways.
May the peace and wholeness of Christ be with you always,
~Pastor Keith and Pastor Ivan

ART SHOW: “BLACK AND WHITE PREFERRED?” CPC Art Committee member Clair Daugherty says, “Certain pictures just
beg to be printed in black and white.” Grayscale uses a range of gray tones
to bring a photograph into a different, and more dramatic outcome. Enjoy
these amazing pictures from such a talented photographer who has an eye
for capturing interest.
STEPPING STONES “FIRST BIBLE” CLASS All third graders and their families are invited to learn about communion and
other sacraments at Stepping Stones of Faith classes on Zoom starting Sun-
day, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. via Zoom and continuing on Sunday, March 14.
Michael Gray will lead the classes and all class supplies will be delivered to
participating families. Families can use the Zoom Coffee Fellowship access
and then will be directed to a breakout room for the class. If you have a third
grader and didn’t receive class supplies or if you have questions, please con-
tact Lisa Torgerson at [email protected]
You are invited to join in an outdoor, in-person worship service starting Sun-
day, March 7 at 12:00 noon in the courtyard between McMillen Hall and the
Gathering Place. Reservations will be required each week and attendance
will be limited. The reservation link will be included in next Sunday’s eParish
Notes.
We also ask that you wear a face covering, keep social distance in your
marked area, and take with you whatever you bring. Ushers will be on hand
to assist as needed.
The service lasts about 40 minutes and includes a sermon and instrumental
music (weather permitting). Childcare will NOT be available.
The usual worship live stream continues at 10:00 a.m.
The worship bulletin and guidelines for attending will be emailed to everyone
on the reservation list prior to the service. It waill also be vailable on CPC’s
website, www.carmichaelpres.org Printed handouts are not provided.
While we miss all of our CPC family and long to gather in person, we ask that
if you are at higher risk for contracting COVID-19 that you continue to wor-
ship from home via the live stream and Zoom coffee fellowship.
If you are going through a difficult time, whether it be because of isolation,
job transition, personal loss, or anxiety in the time of sheltering-in-place,
consider asking for a Stephen Minister. CPC’s trained, caring Stephen
Ministers will listen and walk alongside you as you deal with life’s challeng-
es. Contact one of our Stephen Leaders to see whether Stephen Ministry
is the answer for you or call the confidential line 916-486-0604. During this
time of social distancing, our Stephen Ministers are trained to provide con-
fidential care over the phone.
