Spring is on the way... It’s that time of year for new beginnings, the bulbs are flowering, lambs are skipping around the fields and the weather will hopefully warm up! Time to start getting out and about more, you could take up a new hobby, attend a new keep fit class, or support your local community volunteering at events and meeting new people. Here at Esk Moors Caring we hope to provide a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy!
Anyone can volunteer. It can be very rewarding and is a great way to:
• meet new people
• gain new or use existing skills
• get experience
• make a big difference to your community
There are lots of easy ways to give your time to help others – from
having a cup of tea with an elderly neighbour, to helping out at
events and activities or making a regular commitment to volunteer to
drive our community car.
“I have met some lovely people whilst acting as a volunteer driver,
friendly, kind and grateful for the help given but, in addition, I have
left them feeling far better in myself for helping them in some small
way. After all, every one of us need a helping hand from time to
time.” Bryan, Volunteer Community Car Driver
“I just love to be able to help out, catch up and have fun with the kids.
It’s lovely to see how much fun they are having!” Steph, Youth Club Volunteer
If you are interested in volunteering with Esk Moors Caring
please get in touch with Sharon, details on the back cover.
