Blocks:Make 20
Draw a diagonal line on the black solid 2 3/8”squares. Pair with the red floral 2 3/8” squares andstitch a 1/4” seam on each side of the drawn line.Cut on the drawn line and press toward the blackfabric to make 80 half-square triangle units. Trim to2” square if necessary.
Repeat with the orange floral and yellow floral
3 7/8” squares, trimming to 3 1/2” square ifnecessary.
Combine the units with the black solid 2” squares tocomplete the block. Trim to 5” square if necessary.
Center Block:Make 1
Arrange appliqués (except for paws) on sky print.Fuse in place.
Assembly:
Stitch the black solid 2 1/2” x 44” strips to the centerblock, mitering corners.
Add the grass print 2” x 16 1/2” strips and the leafprint pieces.
Add the blocks, grass print 3 1/2” x 5” pieces, andblack solid 5” x 6 1/2” pieces.
Add the black solid cut two black solid 3 1/2” x 44”strips in half. Add a whole strip to each piece. Addto the quilt, mitering corners.
Prepare paws for appliqué using your favoritemethod. Place paws between blocks as shownand stitch in place. (paws are white in image so youcan see them)
Layer, baste and quilt as desired.
Bind with remaining black solid fabric.
