FACT SHEET – CPC30211 - CERTIFICATE III IN
CARPENTRY
This qualification provides a trade outcome in carpentry, covering work in residential and commercial
applications. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for
the construction industry, as well as a specialist field of work. Completion of the general induction
training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction
Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit
CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.
Qualification Upon successful completion of this qualification you will receive a Certificate III in
Carpentry CPC30211.
Pathways After successful completion of CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry, you may continue with your studies by enrolling in:
• Managerial Course: (NOTE: BSBSMB401A Establish legal and risk management requirements of small business can be taken as an Elective in CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry as assisting in starting up your Carpentry business). Queensland specific.
• CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building & Construction (Building). (One Certificate III competency counts towards the Certificate IV program) (Builder Low Rise license - QLD only)
• CPC50210 Diploma of Building & Construction (Building) (Building Practitioner Registration – Western Australia only)
• CPC50210 Diploma of Building & Construction (Building) (Builder Medium Rise license - QLD only)

Entry Requirements
This qualification does not have any specific entry requirements. However,
completion of Year 12 English and Mathematics is recommended.

Enrolments are taken on an ongoing basis. Students can enrol at any time 24/7
online, over the phone or in person during business hours. Enrolment is for a
period of 12 months.

How to Enrol NOTE: This program is conducted by a combination of RPL and gap training. To
enrol in this mode of delivery and assessment you MUST be currently working in
the building and construction industry performing ‘construction type’ work with a
minimum of 3 to 4 years current experience.
NOTE: Practical Training consists of “On the Job” gap training and therefore applicants who wish to train with Everthought Education MUST have access to all physical resources.
