The Partial denture accomplishes multipleobjectives for the patient, namely
It fills in the spaces created by missing
teeth
It prevents other teeth from shifting orsupraerupting,
Enhances chewing function, restoresocclusion and balances chewing forces

All are fairly similar in design configuration, but each materialoffers the patient a different dimension. For example, CastPartials might have superior strength, but Flexible Partials offer
superior comfort and aesthetics. Acrylic Partials offer somestrength and aesthetics, but their greatest asset might be thatthey are basic and financially friendly. The flexible nature of theresin material makes a better and stronger prosthesis in ashorter amount of patient appointment time. It also is unique inthat traditional metal partials have noticeable, unattractive metalclasps across the front surface of the natural teeth, while theFlexible resin blends with the natural color of the tissueproviding virtually invisible support and a more pleasing smile.Patients have come to recognize the value of a Flexible Resinmore aesthetic and natural look and appreciate added comfort.

These are the dentures that can be fabricated by some newmaterials and new technologies which provide flexibility tothe denture base as well as to the other components of the
removable dentures. Most of the materials areBiocompatible Nylon Thermoplastic Resin based.

These dentures are exceptionallyFracture Resistant.
The denture base as well as other
components are flexible.
Tissue Under Cutscan be used forbetter retention of the dentures. So
undercuts are no longer disadvantagenow-a- days for dentist.

Because of better retention and stability these denture areMore Functionaland provide better chewing efficiency.
No effect of residual monomer- so these dentures aremore Biocompatiblethan conventional PMMA dentures.
The long-term health of tissues and teeth is maintaineddue to the dentures gentle Massaging Action, achievedwithout adversely loading the abutments
More Aestheticas conventional metal clasp can beavoided and either tooth colored clasp or tissue clasp
can be used instead
Non-harmful to the abutment teeth.

Retention - flexes into a retentiveposition, below the undercut.
Comfort - thin, light in weight andflexible.
Esthetics-pink shades allow naturaltissue tone to appear through material.
Strength - clinically unbreakable, moredurable than acrylic and won't absorbstains or odors.
Ease technique - no tooth or tissuepreparation is required so it offerspatients a conservative and pain-freesolution

Press-packing a partial denture using
Flexible resin
Flexible resin partial denture material is
formulated to simplify the fabrication ofpartial dentures utilizing conventionallaboratory techniques. The non-methylmethacrylate can be processed with
either conventional press- packing techniquewithout the use of special equipments.

press-packing a partial denture
Diatoric holes should be drilledin teeth to ensure optimumretention. The use of bonding
agent is suggested.

3. Combine liquid and powder in the mixing bowl andmix thoroughly. Then pouring the mixture into thedenture mold (Figs. 2 and 3).
4. As soon as mix reaches a doughy state (5 to8 minutes), packing into regular denture moldusing press-packing procedures (Fig. 4).
5. Then curing for two hours in water at 130F.
6. Cool for 15 minutes under cold running tapwater.
