Formula 1 in Schools is World’s Largest STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering,
Mathematics) competition for school students in which groups of 3-6 students have to design and
manufacture a miniature car out of the official F1 Model Block using CAD/CAM design tools.
Students from Secondary Wing participated in this event which was held at Ambience Mall,
Gurugram from 12thJanuary, 2018 to 14th January 2018. Out of 146 teams from different schools,
DPSG qualified the first round and four teams were selected in top 32. Two teams were selected
in the second round in top 16. Teams Max Velocity and The Crushers qualified the third round.
The enthusiasm and energy of the students was palpable. Winning or losing was secondary; all
that mattered to them was to fall in line with spirit of participation.
An Inter School Hindi Debate Competition was held at Ch Chhabil Dass Public School
Ghaziabad on 22nd December, 2017 wherein Nandini Sharma, IXA won the third prize. The Best
School Trophy was also bagged by DPSG.
Raghav Katyal of VIII E brought laurels to the school by winning the grand prize for creative
writing at national level of Katha Utsav that was held from 27th December, 2017 to 29th
December, 2017 at Ridge Valley School, Gurgaon.

Mathematician of the year contest was held at DPSGI on 21st January, 2018.Vedaansh Goel,
VIIH bagged the third prize along with a cash prize of Rs 3000.
NCC Camp
Shaily Gupta, IX A; Mitisha Mittal, Vanshika Goel, IX B; Aparna Shukla, Jiya Mohan, IX D
participated in NCC Camp held at Sunderdeep College from 8th January, 2018 to 17th January,
2018. Various activities were conducted wherein cadet Mitisha Mittal and cadet Aparna shukla
scored first place in extempore competition. Cadet Mitisha Mittal also bagged the Best Anchor
award.
Jim Corbett and Ranikhet Trip
Delhi Public School Ghaziabad organized a trip to Jim Corbett and Ranikhet, Uttarakhand from
January 3, 2018 to January 6, 2018. The students of classes VII to IX were accompanied by eight
teachers. They enjoyed the lush green ambience of the mountains, jungle safari, bonfire, music,
dance, adventure sports (rock climbing and rappelling) along with scrumptious food. The kids
had a great time there and made memories to be cherished forever.
Delhi Public School Ghaziabad celebrated States Day on 27th of January. State tableaux of six
states, Delhi, Punjab, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka were presented
by the students through beautiful charts and models along with a dance performance for each
state. Prize distribution for classes VII, X, XI and XII also took place wherein prizes were given
in both scholastic and co-scholastic categories. The programme was followed by a food fiesta
offering various delicacies of six Indian states. Class X students also received a farewell from
their juniors and teachers.
Winter Carnival was held at Delhi Public School Ghaziabad on 30th December, 2017. The entire
ground buzzed with various activities. There were about 50 stalls which included attention-
grabbing games, beautiful hand made jewellery, kashmiri outfits and many more. An assortment
of edible delights, raffle draw and exciting prizes were added attractions. The carnival had
something in store for everybody, be it children or adults. The zest and zeal exhibited by the
enthusiastic visitors and participants made the Winter Carnival 2017 a memorable one.
WORLD SCHOLARS’ CUP
The Ghaziabad round of the much awaited World Scholar’s Cup 2018 was held on January 30th
and 31st, 2018 at Indirapuram Public School and Sathya Sai Auditorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi
respectively. It was a splendid event which saw the participation of over 1500 scholars from the
best schools of Ghaziabad region.
The WSC tests the critical and creative thinking skills of the young scholars through myriad
challenges like collaborative writing, team debates, multiple choice tests and the scholar’s bowl.
Before the declaration of results, a talent show is also conducted where the scholars get a platform
to showcase their varied talents.
The DPSG team comprised of 3 students, namely, Tejal Singh, Parth Shukla of class X and Amogh
Gupta of class XI who earned individual as well as team accolades and brought laurels to the
school by winning 5 trophies as well as 34 medals . Our team bagged the first position in the senior
category and qualified for the global round to be held at Barcelona in July/August 2018.
