meeting which will be held
in the school library at
6:00pm 26th February. At the
meeting I will be asking par-
ents and carers to identify
what it is that they really
love about our school, and
what changes they would
like to see. This is your op-
portunity to have a say in the
direction that Lismore
Heights Public School takes
over the coming years. The
P&C meeting is open to all
parents and I would actively
encourage you all to attend.
Yours,
Mark Scotton
Principal
Dear parents and carers
Let me start by extending a
warm welcome to all of our
new students and new fami-
lies to Lismore Heights Pub-
lic School. I would also like
to welcome back all of our
existing students and fami-
lies. We have had a great
start to 2013, I am really
enjoying being in my new
role as Principal at the
school, and we are all look-
ing forward to a very busy
and fun-filled first term. As
always, it is our aim to en-
sure that every child at Lis-
more Heights receives the
support and encouragement
that they need to reach their
full potential, and there is an
expectation that every child
will commit to giving their
best in return.
We understand that parents
and carers want to be in-
volved in their children’s
school lives to support them
in their learning and social
and cultural development,
and with this in mind we
operate an Open Door policy
at the school. This means
that all staff, myself in-
cluded, are happy for parents
and carers to visit the school
to discuss their children’s
progress and ways in which
they can support their chil-
dren. If you would like to see
your child’s class teacher we
ask you to try to do this just
before or just after school so
as not to disrupt lessons, or
to make an appointment if
these times are not conven-
ient.
Finally, I would like to ex-
tend an invitation to all par-
ents to our forthcoming P&C
Students were covering a
unit of work on Trans-
port. All students made
their own model in class.
Kieran made this
motorised version.
