TRACES o a deadly inection  which killed our babiesin hospitals in NorthernIreland have been ound inthree more neo-natal units, itemerged yesterday.

Health ofcials said thepseudomonas bacteria hasbeen detected in wateroutlets at Daisy Hill Hospital

in Newry, Craigavon AreaHospital and the ErneHospital in Fermanagh.

The Public Health Agencysaid no babies in these threehospitals had been inected.

Bug in morebaby units

HOUSE prices have almosthalved rom their peak in2007, a property surveyrevealed yesterday.

The University o Ulsterrecorded an average homeprice o £137,219 in the lastquarter o 2011, down 45.2 percent rom the peak o £250,586in the third quarter o 2007.

The fgures paint a pictureo prices continuing todecline, but at a more modestpace, confrming trends inother major house pricesurveys.

Can DUP deliver

a shared future?

PETER Robinson’s appeals or

a shared uture in NorthernIreland are aimed at wooingliberal Protestants rather than

Catholics, Lord Trimble hasclaimed.

In a string o high-proflegestures, the DUP leader has

called or integrated education,recently attended a GAA match,and even expressed hopes o 

attracting the support o Catholic voters.

But ormer Ulster Unionistleader David Trimble said he

believed the moves are actuallyaimed at securing the supporto those unionists who have

previously been deterred by theDUP’s hardline past.

Lord Trimble also questioned  whether Mr Robinson was

bringing his party with him ashe embarked on a more liberalagenda.
