My Story or Yours?Do you choose the Society? Or do you choose your own path?
BA6: 2015 Alex Clark V1.0
SynopsisPlayers take control of Geoff, walking to work and walking back, everyday for the rest of his working career. But will players experience the story that Society wants them to? Or will they make their own story?
The game starts on an unimportant date in 2015. Players control Geoff as he leaves the house and walks down the street to work. Geoff then enters his office, goes to his desk and starts working. Then at the end of the day he walks back home, watches Sky Sports for the evening and goes to bed. Then the same thing happens the next day. But, at any point in the game, players can press ENTER to make Geoff sit down and let his Creativity take over, an entity that has much more control over the world around Geoff and is much better equipped when it comes to traversing it.

What makes this game so interesting is the level of control players have, and the depth of how their actions with Geoff’s Creativity affect the world around them. The variety of events that can take place and the number of endings that can come about each day create a deep and meaningful world where players either have no control, or all the control they could want.
PlotGeoff didn’t always want to be an office worker. He always had a very creative side a curious mind and a strong heart. But when he finished school he had to move out. And when you move out, you need to pay bills. To do that you need money, and to earn money you need a Job. Geoff is now stuck in a Job he doesn’t want and can’t leave because he can’t afford to. So what does he do with all of his inner Creativity? That is up to you.

Construction Site Park Hot Dog Stand
The falling beam: Players climb the site and traverse the beams to the
Office. Players get to work early and are allowed home earlier.
NPC’s refer to the player as “Ninja” since they made it into work without using the Front Door.
Street Artist: Players draw attract a large crowd of people by
drawing something on the park bus stop. Players are late for
work, and if the crowd is large enough it makes it onto the
Evening News.
The Chipolata Thief: If players use Geoff’s Creativity to draw a hot dog on the house behind the
stand, a thief will appear stealing some hot dogs. Players chase the thief and retrieve the hot dogs. This makes it onto the Evening News and the player receives a
free Hot Dog the next day.
Gameplay
“My Story or Yours?” is a 2D Platformer for PC and Mobile. The game combines classic platforming mechanics with an evolving storyline that ends every day, but never truly comes to a close.

Narrator
Geoff is a small, outspoken man that doesn’t stand out from the crowd much at all. The only unique aspect about this man is his yellow tie, which he wears everyday without fail.
Geoff’s more creative side on the other hand is very confident. His fashion sense
may be questionable but he’s a bright and quirky individual that’s different every day,
with a playful way of interacting with the world.
Who is this faceless voice that consistently observes and narratives
Geoff’s life each day. Will we ever find out?

Geoff lives here. It’s a fairly normal house, nothing too interesting happens here.
This is the park. It’s a nice park, there are some squirrels in that tree over there.
This is where Geoff works. There definitely isn’t anything interesting here.
This construction site has been here for years. I wonder if they will ever finish it? Lo
