Dear Friends of Girl Scouting,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 Girl Scout Year! We are excited to share this year’s edition of Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson’s Girl Experience Pro-gram Guide, your handy resource for everything GSHH has planned this year for your girls!
This year, we are thrilled to present an increased number of in-person programming. We are also continuing to offer virtual program options to make it easier for girls and their families to develop their ideal Girl Scout Experience.
Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson remains committed to keeping all of our girls, volunteers, and their families safe and healthy while providing qual-ity programming that helps to develop girls’ leadership skills and sup-ports the four main pillars of Girl Scouts:
s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) s Outdoors s Life Skills s Entrepreneurship
I am so happy to see the enthusiasm throughout the council for the up-coming year. We look forward to providing our girls the experiences which will prepare them for a lifetime of leadership, success and adventure!
We will be adding more programs throughout the year; check girlscout-shh.org/calendar for updates!

The Museum and Archives Committee is continuing the Victory Garden at Camp Wendy for another year. Girls will learn how to prepare a garden for the growing season, plant the garden, maintain the garden organically, harvest the vegetables for donation to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Wallkill and then clean up the garden for the winter.
The program will cover the material required for most of the gardening badg-es. Individuals or troops can sign up for the whole program which will mean 2 days in the spring, helping maintain and harvest the garden in the summer (we ask for a commitment of 3-4 days at some time during the summer) and one day in the fall to prepare the garden for the winter. By committing to this project, the girls will learn a lot, help food insecure families, and earn the current garden badge as well as a vintage garden badge. Girls and troops can also sign up for individual or multiple days in the summer to help us out and gain community service hours. For more information contact Judi Silverman at [email protected]
