INTRODUCTION
WHAT IS GLOBALG.A.P. ?
• A non-for-profit private sector body that sets voluntary standards for the certification and implementation of Good Agricultural (including Aquaculture) Practice around the globe; • System provides a set of standards, primarily designed to reassure consumers about how food is produced on the farm; • Pre-farm gate or on-farm standards, business to business. • For aquaculture derived products: the certification covers the whole production process, from feed, broodstock, seedlings, on-grown farm up to harvesting and post harvest handling activities, for proper segregation and hygiene.
