Glory is determined to bring the best concept of
education while developing our children to the
best of their potentials in body, mind, social
skills and flair, as well as bringing them up to
be upstanding citizens of this world.
Our school’s mission is to instill and then elicit
from each student their unique potential
fostered by a loving family and school
environment making them useful and loving
world citizens. We believe that learning is a
unique and personal experience. Our aim is to
stimulate each child to think, analyze, discover
and explore.
It is our desire to create a happy and warm
atmosphere in which each child is filled with the
excitement and wonder of learning. We believe
that parents and teachers, working together in
partnership, will ensure a happy and successful
experience in school.
It is such a great pleasure nurturing our
young students to grow up to be caring and
responsible teenagers, people of honor and
integrity. I believe that every child is the best, and
that children are truly a blessing from God. They
deserve our love and care, our uplifting words
and our kindest blessing. They need our
togetherness to have fun, our smiles, laughter
and gentle hugs!
As a mother of two, I am so thankful to God
that my two children are happy, fulfilled and
doing rather well academically. They were my
great inspiration for establishing Glory
International School, so that we could create a
warm environment where children are joyful, equipped with morals and values,
and with motivation to strive to succeed intellectually. Education is the key for
our future generations’ success, especially in our rapidly globalizing society.
We are committed to provide the best trilingual international education to
encourage the students to develop their individual talents and fullest potential
in all areas: physical, emotional, academic and social.
May we all join hands to support one another for our beloved children’s
success. May God help us to be happy, good and successful parents and
teachers, so that our children will grow up to be people of integrity and
excellence. LIVE SIMPLY. LOVE GENEROUSLY. CARE DEEPLY. SPEAK KINDLY.
Thank you for taking your valuable time to visit our school website and
Facebook. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
It gives me great pleasure to write a few words
for the first issuance of Glory International
School’s yearbook. Any inception of something
new is a source of great joy and pride, and
Glory International School is of no exception.
With this publication, it means that the school
has come a long ways from a school of few to
the many of today. It will certainly continue to
grow from strength to strength owing to the
holistic approach—the emphasis of the whole
person, with special attention to the inculcation
of morals—an aspect very much overlooked by
many institutions today.
I wish to congratulate our pioneer graduates of Primary Six. Although few
in number, we know what they have learned will prepare them for their
insatiable search for knowledge. I wish them every success as they
continue their lifelong learning.
For others who leaf through these pages, may you find joy and pleasant
memories of the past—for the past is always the present.
Finally, may I congratulate the administration, the teachers and staff for
such an excellent yearbook—you have worked hard to bring this about.
May God continue to bless the school, always!
The best part of teaching is the daily interaction with the students. I
love my time in the classroom- Teaching! There are miracles to be
experienced! Seeing the students caring for each other, being
excited to go to school, asking me if somebody is absent, ( where
is ____?) that’s very sweet!
When I see my students accomplish their work, when they become
independent, those moments are golden! I am very proud and
happy for how my students have grown academically and socially.
They taught me how to be a better teacher. I want to thank the
parents for your full support which has made the year a success. To
my Nursery 1 students, I will always remember you. I love you N1!
With love,

Many people ask me about my work and wonder why I chose to become a
teacher, especially for such young children like the ones in nursery. I jokingly
answer that I found the secret to eternal youth and happiness! How can people
stay young and feel happy? Working with little kids, little ones that make you
smile, laugh, skip, jump, run, sing and dance every day, again and again,
because they never get bored of it nor become boring themselves. The
challenges that we face every day with educating young children are by no
means small, but this is what keeps things interesting and alive. I feel happy and
accomplished when one of my little students stops using diapers, or learns how
to eat properly using a fork and a spoon. This is what life is all about, and we
nursery teachers have to team up with parents in order to provide our little ones
enough knowledge to start their lives appropriately and head towards a bright
future.
This academic year, 2012-2013, has been a full one for me on a personal level,
including adding another member to my family at home. I am very thankful for
that. I am also very thankful that I can continue my work, and have the delight of
dealing with my little bundles of joy in my nursery 2 class as well!
It has been a privilege being a part of their development and I hope that we did
a good job providing them with enough academic baggage so they can
continue their learning experience in kindergarten. I am sure that they will
continue being the best that they can be and doing the best that they can do.
Best of luck!

What a great and exciting year it has been! So many fun filled activities took
place. K1 warmly welcomed me in January, and have since kept up both their
enthusiasm for learning and their commitment to achieving their goals
throughout the year.
They have studied hard all year long and have shown remarkable progress. It
definitely was a challenging year for me as a teacher, as well as for all the
students, but amazing achievements came out of it. I want to congratulate all
of you, especially my students, for your great effort and dedication to moving
forward towards your goals. All of you have taken great steps forward, and I
know each of you will continue being a wonderful and loyal student in K2. I
wish everyone the best and much success in the future. Thank you for taking
part in my class and making me proud to be your teacher. Keep up the great
work!!!
To sum it up, life at Glory International School has been very satisfying. It is
truly a pleasure to be a teacher at Glory, going to school every day
surrounded by enthusiastic and dedicated staff and students.
Thanks to you all for your sense of humour and your determination. I am
definitely looking forward to the upcoming academic year.

K2 has been a joy to teach this term. A bright and eclectic group of
individuals with a wide range of skills and talents, each making this class very
special indeed. We have had such wonderful artwork, grammar and a high
level of spoken English, as well as beautiful singing which I have particularly
enjoyed hearing each morning, as they sing the national anthem and other
traditional songs with volume, pride and passion.
Our theme for May was “Joyful Heart,” and they have certainly made my
heart joyous with their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment.
The group has improved with every passing day in all areas I have witnessed,
and I am very much looking forward to mentoring their progress at primary
level. I feel sure that the future is very bright for all of them.
Well done K2. Thank you for making me feel so welcome. Keep up the good
work and have an amazing summer.

I love K2, and I am very happy to be able to work with a class such as this. I am very
proud of K2 because each student is so smart, positive and optimistic. They help each
other and progress together, growing day by day. Every day they are able to seriously
study and enjoy free time and games. The children of Glory have a variety of school life..
They learn discipline and actively prepare for primary school . Teachers prepare a variety
of coursework such as games and songs so they can learn and grow happily. They not
only learn cultural knowledge, they also learn how to be good people and how to get
on well with their peers and teachers.
In short, I have enjoyed working with K2 because when I am with them I always feel
the presence of love.
Teacher Juicy
Dear K2,
Time flies so fast. I remember your first ay of school like it was yesterday. You’ve had an
amazing year and so have I with you. I have seen your hard work since day 1 in K2. It
wasn’t always easy but I am so proud of you! I watched you develop in reading, writing
and speaking, and more and more it brought joy to my heart.
I feel very confident that you are well-equipped to take on the next chapter of your
educational lives. Please don’t forget the many priceless lessons you’ve learned. Love
learning and be loving to all. Here you are… your graduation day and I couldn’t be more
proud. Congratulations!
Love you always,
Teacher Donna
It has been a privilege working with P1. They are the most
amazing, active, smart and intelligent class I’ve ever had.
P1 is full of happiness, joy and smiles. Each of the students has a
beautiful personality, and they all have a great sense of humour
too. It is so beautiful to see my students growing up. They get
taller, stronger, smarter and more playful everyday.
When we talk about what makes a class international, I personally
think that P1 is a great example. Thai, Taiwanese, Indian,
Romanian, Australian, Pilipino, all different types of religions and
nations in one class!
If you look deeply into this class you will see a beautiful, fantastic
and harmonious small community living a peaceful life together. I
have been blessed by the great God to be leading them.

Welcome to the Primary 2 classroom!
Stay for a while and enjoy the mischievous little monkeys that inhabit the room!
The bell has rung signifying the end of recess and the children have rushed back into
the room…….I hear a panicky voice in a loud stage whisper….. “Teacher Neetu is
coming……!!!!”…..chairs scrape across the floor…..there is a rush to get the Math
books and pandemonium ensues while P2 tries to get ready for Math class before I
enter the room.
Opening the door, I am confronted with 11 perfectly behaved children seated at their
desks, waiting for lessons to commence.
Ten minutes into the lesson they revert back to form!
Highly intelligent, quirky, comic, JJ cannot seem to sit still - a chair for him is a
contortionist’s prop! JJ is notorious for making his teachers tear their hair out – at
the same time he is the one who amazes these very same teachers with his insights
and thirst for knowledge! JJ keeps me on my toes!
Apparently, Nomaan is stepping on hot coals as he hops from one foot to the other
trying to get my attention with “teacher….teacher….I know the answer…..may I have a
good point?!!!” He is the little bomb in P2 who wants to be the first and the best in
everything that he does! He brings out the child in me.
I turn to see a handsome boy with a winsome smile….. Calum …..snickering at JJ.
“Teacher, Calum is bullying me….” JJ complains.
“So sit properly JJ” Calum calls back. Continued next page...

“I will sit however I want, it’s my freedom!” JJ shoots back
“Huh…..huh…..not in my classroom Jay” My warning tone is loud and clear
and immediately gets him properly seated (he knows if he doesn’t, his
chair along with its occupant will be in the bin!)
Calum has the most innocent eyes I have ever seen. He inspires me to try
harder.
Among the chaos that is the front row in P2, sits a quite little mouse…..our
personal little sunbeam….Beam…the newest addition. Her happy smiles
and hugs win over every teacher who enters P2. Beam rouses all my
protective instincts.
Praise, the resident tomboy, is watching the proceedings with delight
waiting for a chance to pounce. She is our drama queen, singing, dancing
and acting all coming naturally to her.
She turns to Amir “psst……have you seen Iron Man 3??!! Amazing….” Amir
rolls his eyes at her…and when Amir rolls his eyes, he really rrooolllss his
eyes. Another one who has ants in his pants, stretching, bending, draping
himself over the desk…..his movements defy the laws of gravity! Amir is
smart, intelligent, and hardworking…the youngest in class, the one who
has caught up with the rest of his classmates despite having missed a
significant portion last year.
An oasis of calm sits next to him…Junior. He is watching me…what is T.
Neetu going to do? A sweet boy whom I have watched evolve from a shy,
introverted person he was at the beginning of the year to the happy,
outgoing person he is now. Lately, I can actually hear his voice when he
speaks! Junior inspires all the gentleness in me.
Nichaya, with her gift of the gab, is busy with Evi, behind her! Nichaya is
the leader of the pack. Looking at her, one wouldn’t think she has nerves
of steel and enough commanding power to get the whole class to follow
her! She is a gifted writer…she can start writing on demand, on any
subject ….and keep it flowing.
In the last row sits Evi, Nicha and Terri……my three musketeers. The most
hardworking students in P2, the best behaved with a great willingness to
learn. They compete with each other in every subject. Outside class…..it is
a different story. I have seen Nicha turn into a yelling banshee in the
playground! Terri, the soft-spoken girl, actually talks loudly during recess.
Evi, the organizer, is forever organizing hers and her friends’ school lives.
She is the finest teacher’s helper I have ever had.
The front row is in chaos, from the back rows I can hear whispered
conversations. I step back to survey the whole class. A sharp rap on the
desk and “QUIET” does the trick. The class is back in order – 11 upturned
faces like flowers – waiting for my instruction! I know it won’t be long
before the little monkeys resume their monkey business. Teaching P2 is a
challenge…but at the end of the day…..
JJ – “See you tomorrow Teacher Neetu” his smile is so sweet as I hug him
goodbye.
Calum – “I have all my homework in my bag, may I go T.Neetu?” I ruffle
his hair affectionately as I bid him goodbye.
Junior’s and Terri’s soft goodbyes bring a smile to my face.
Evi, busily checking to see if her BTS card is still around her neck, waits
patiently before she bids me goodbye with a beautiful wai.
A little imp in sunglasses is jumping up and down… “see you tomorrow
teacher, may I leave now?” I laugh as I wave goodbye to Nicha.
I see a pair of eyes rolling at me… “Yes Amir, you may go now”..I try to
suppress my grin as I wish him a good day.
Suddenly I am enveloped in a bear hug. I turn and look down into Beam’s
eyes. “Goodbye T. Neetu” I hug her back and send her on her way.
“God bless you T.Neetu” … “God bless you too darling Nichaya” and she is
off.
I turn looking for Nomaan who is nowhere to be found. He has done it
again….slipped right from under my nose! I’ll tell off that little imp
tomorrow!
Aah but tomorrow is another day….and I can’t wait for it to begin!
Teacher Neetu
After working for almost one year in Glory International School as the
homeroom teacher of P3, I realized that learning is a mutual experience. I
am not the only person who teaches the kids, and actually I am amazed by
how they, even at this age, can teach and remind us the beauty and purity
of life every day.
I am pleased to mention that P3 students have taught me more than
enough. Every day they remind me how generous they are. The friendship
among them shows me the joyful heart each and all of them own, and they
couldn’t excel more in their obedience.
To see them losing teeth and growing them back, to see how much taller
they get, how much more respectful and mature they become every day,
these are the blessings I have from spending one year next to these
innocent angels.
Being faced with hardship and happiness, we memorialize days so they will
not be forgotten. Yes! We survived it and we will succeed to the best level
possible.

In the children’s book Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge by Mem Fox, a young boy searches
for ways to find lost memories for an old woman who had lost her own. Through his persistent
questions and vivid imagination, he inspires her to remember events from her past. I think this
yearbook will also work in the same way to these students when they are grown up.
When I was pondering about P4, the only thing that came in my mind is that when this class
will pass from Glory and go to another school, this yearbook will remind them about their sweet
memories which they have made here.
Apparently when you first see them, you might feel that they all are same and nothing new in
them. But everybody has different traits that make up their personalities. If you find a boy in
primary 4 with a big pack of “Lays” crunching around the classroom that is no other than Karn.
Karn is the only boy in the class, who makes my class lively by making small mischievous acts
around us. Though he is like a jumping jack in the class, when it comes to caring about someone
he is the most loving boy. He keeps on asking me “did you call her or him? Why did he /she not
come?
The tiniest and most lovely girl in Primary 4 is Praerie. If you heard a scream in the class without
any reason that is “Praerie”. It’s easy to recognize her. She loves making origami. When her two
best friends are with her, they symbolize like they are from “Barbie and the three musketeers”.
A little shy but with a million dollar smile is “YaYa,” the most creative girl in my class. She is
very determined and always accompanies her friends if they have trouble. When it comes to
Chinese, nobody can beat her.
Last but not least is “Min-Mint”. She is like a brand ambassador of “Glory“ in modeling and
casting. Her handwriting and other art work always makes her proud. She is always willing to help
me and asks “can I do it for you?”
However, all of them are of different type, some are helpful while some are caring. No matter
their type, as long as they interest and comfort each other, they all are very dear to me.
Sometimes they mingle and sometimes they fight but they all are like pieces of jigsaw, without
any one of them this primary 4 will always be incomplete.

In my first class with Alfie, Don, Kin, Num and Nuhaa, a meditation “competition” spontaneously broke
out. I had been quizzing them with the worst I could imagine, adverbs, and they had decided between
one another to close their eyes after anyone answered correctly. Nuhaa, the brilliant natural leader of
the class, would count to three and then all five would pick up their legs, curling them under
themselves, mimicking a lotus. Whoever burst out laughing first had to answer my next question. It
was all Nuhaa’s idea, so she was often the first to lose by peeking at me. By laughter, next to break
first was Alfie, carefree and light-hearted enough to rather lose a game and hear her classmates
giggle. Alfie will never let a fellow student go silent if she knows they have a question. If Num was
reluctant to voice herself back in the first term of this year, she has grown to tower in stature in her
self expression, especially with her thirst for justice. An unkind word or unchecked lie will always find a
capable opponent in Num, defender of kindness, putting others ahead of herself time and again.
The boys of the class, Kin and Don, are practically joined at the hip at times. Their stream-of-
consciousness sense of humour, combined with endless inside jokes, always leaves others scratching
their heads. Don has worked hard throughout the year to overcome illness and absence, and we have
all watched his strength grow. He is even able to handle with ease the endless attentions of the third
floor girls, who never tire of tickling him. The talented, outspoken, possibly notorious Kin is a lucid
dreamer, and when not building castles in the sky, he always seems to have a smile on his face so
wide that it spills in to giddy, infectious laughter. His high intensity energy always finds an outlet, and
with every term he shows more self possession.
P5, the P5 five, are trustworthy, independent and intelligent young learners, and to see the good
habits developing in their classroom behavior, their studying and attentiveness, it all makes the witty
asides and bizarre, out of context anecdotes from their imaginations all the more wonderful to be a
part of. It has truly been the greatest pleasure to see them through their fifth grade. I will never forget
Kin’s white knuckle retellings of his dream adventures, Don’s blissful classroom singing as he catches
up on one subject or another, Num making fun of me for saying “it’s ok” so many times, Alfie calling
out my “epic fails” whenever I make a mistake on the whiteboard, and Nuhaa’s hilarious and
unforgettable impressions of my speech. I am blessed by my time with these five students.

Dear Almond, Ake and Korn.
Wow, what a year! To better state that- what a GREAT year!
Each of you has brought such joy and happiness to our classroom. I was so
fortunate to have such a wonderful group of children. My friends and family
often laugh at me when I refer to the three of you as “my kids”. You are like
my own children.
You have touched my life in very positive and rewarding ways. Be it Korn’s
naughtiness, Almond’s wit or Ake’s incredible sense of humor, I have
thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. As you move from primary to
secondary levels, a new phase of your life will set in. You are growing up and
a lot will be expected of you. Don’t worry, enjoy the transition. Each of you
has tremendous potential to excel; you just need to discover it.
Hard work, perseverance, total dedication and focus are all keys to a
successful life.
Walt Disney has famously quoted,
“If you can dream it, you can do it.”
So always consider yourself capable of achieving what you aspire to, nothing
can stop you from reaching your goal if you pursue it with utmost
determination. I know that each one of you has a bright future ahead. So
work hard and enjoy your school days!
Thank you for all you have done to make my year so fulfilling and
memorable. You're a great class and I loved teaching you. I hope as the years
go by that we keep in touch.
I will miss all of you a lot.
Wish you all the very best for all your future endeavors.
Teacher Amrita
Almond is a highly talented girl who is developing very good knowledge. She is not like all the
other children. Children tend to always want to play, but Almond is not like most other kids –
in her spare time she always tries to solve problems, or try solving puzzle games like Sudoku.
Sudoku, as you might all know, is a numeric puzzle game which increases the thinking capac-
ity. She is now capable of solving different type of problems of medium to complex nature. She
is not only talented in mathematics but also in various other fields, such as sports, art and mu-
sic. She has achieved various awards in many competitions since joining Glory International
School.
3rd Place in Chinese speech competition in 2010
Almond is a native Thai girl, and she started to learn
Chinese when she joined Glory International School
way back in the year 2008. She worked to improve her
oratory skills in Chinese, and in 2010 she went on to
become the one of the top speakers in a Chinese inter-
national speech competition, secured the third prize.
All this is attributed to her dedication, hard work and
encouragement from her teachers.
Petch Yod Mong Kut English contest 2012
Almond went on to test her English skills. In her endeavor to achieve competitive success in
English, she attended the “Petchyod Mong Kut English contest” and secured another award,
making her place in year 2012.
Spelling Bee – Glory International School – School internal
competitions
Glory International School has recognized her real talent and
sponsored her to join many international competitions, in which
Almond always came out with flying colors, taking her image as
well as the image of the school to great heights. She has been
making major achievements outside the school; that stays as a
well-known fact. We should note that even her achievements in-
house are also commendable. She always attended the competi-
tions at Glory and did her best in all of them. She is famous in
the school for giving tough competition and making her mark as
high as she can.
2013: The P6 Graduating Year for Almond: ACER Achievement.
Having benchmarked herself as the best achiever year after year at Glory,
everyone kept their fingers crossed as we continued along 2013. Almond
made yet another remarkable academic achievement by securing a 93%
marks in the ACER (Australian Council for Educational Research) Talent
Examination. This talent test is used for evaluation of student ability for
admission to international schools in Thailand. By achieving this, Al-
mond cleared her own way for admission into Concordian International
School.
Almond’s interest in music has led to numerous performances. She plays
ukulele like Beethoven on a piano.
Almond is also a star in Co-Curricular activities arranged at the
school. She actively participates in cultural and sports activities,
and as usual, always gives her best.
Success does not happen overnight, it is the result of continued
endurance and hard work. People who have tasted success will
like to taste it again and again. Success is a combination of
thoughts, words and actions. Luck has only a small role to play
in success, for only hard work pays off in the long run. If at all
luck plays a role, it is only temporary. Aristotle says, “It is possible to fail in many ways, while for
success it is possible only in one way”. Hurdles and failures are the stepping stones to success, and
from failure to failure we have to proceed with unquenchable enthusiasm and zeal to attain the best in
our endeavors. In that state of mind, success is simple. Do what’s right, the right way, at the right
time.
Almond has realized the taste of success, and so she will continue to succeed in all her future endeav-
ors.
All the very best for her bright future!
