Revival of the fishing industry in rural Sindh by:
◦ Installation of HDP Floating Pontoons / Landing
Infrastructure at five selected sites

To improve the operations of Karachi Fish Harbor, a comprehensive plan named “Rehabilitation & Renovation of Karachi Fish Harbor” is in progress:◦ Modification of Boats
◦ Provision of IPCs, Fish Crates, Fish Baskets, Plastic Pallets, Hand Pallet Trucks, Fork Lifts, Trash Sucking Machine etc
◦ Renovation of Auction Halls
◦ Preparation of Master Plan
Campaign against Illegal Nets
Construction of model villages at Hawke bay Karachi, Zero
Point Badin. Keenjhar Thatta, and Manchar Lake Jamshoro.
Transfer of 20,000 acres of land in coastal belt of District
Thatta and Badin to the Department for lease to private sector
for Shrimp and Fish farming. The identified land is brackish
which is unsuitable for any other purposes. Salient features
are:
◦ The land would be utilized for both Federal & Provincial
development initiatives for Mari-culture
◦ Model farms to be leased out to the private sector for Mari-
culture
