AIRPORT (INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS) Ensure that Greater New Orleans has the connectivity required to be a first-tier region for international business and other economic development opportunities. > Continue to work with MSY, Aviation Board, Port, CVB, NOTMC, City and State to pursue European and Latin American flights > Identify Local sources of financial and marketing support to complement State support > Continue to refine analysis of flight demand and economic impact to support above efforts

FLOOD PROTECTION & RESILIENCE Ensure that Southeast Louisiana remains viable and insurable for future generations of businesses and families, and economically productive for the nation. > Keep flood insurance affordable for the nation 1. Amend Biggert-Waters 2. Leads Coalition for Sustainable Flood Insurance (34 states and 250+ organizations) to determine optimal long-term solution for national flood insurance > Support implementation of 2012 Louisiana Coastal Master Plan and engage in development of the 2017 Coastal Master Plan > Advocate for adoption of the Greater New Orleans Urban Water Plan

STATE FISCAL REFORM Evolve a tax and exemption system that best supports the long-term economic development of the region and state. > 2014 – Coordinate with statewide business organizations to develop slate of fiscal opportunities for the legislative session > 2014-2015 – Coordinate with statewide business organizations to develop slate of fiscal opportunities for the gubernatorial election.
