Age Milestone

Birth Clears face to the side when on tummy

1 Month Lifts head up when on tummy

2 Months Lifts chest up when on tummy

3 Months Supports self on forearms when on tummy Keeps head steady when sitting

4 Months Rolls from back to side Lifts head when you are pulling him/her to seated position

5 Months Pushes up on hands when on tummy Rolls from back to tummy or tummy to back

6 Months Sits with hands propped in front of him/her (“tripod”) Bears most of own weight when in supported standing position

7 Months Belly crawls Sits without supporting self with hands

8 Months Crawls forwards on hands and knees

9 Months Moves to a seated position from laying down

10 Months Pulls to stand

11 Months Stands alone without support

12 Months Walks with one hand held
