MILE STONES• LAUNCHED ON 19th June at StTeresa’s college, Ernakulam at an event where Nisha
Jose donated her hair. • FIRST MASS DONATION at Global Public School led by the Dean herself who
donated 15” of hair! 15” is the minimum required to make a wig for a female chemo patient. 12 others also donated their locks for the cause.
• FIRST DONATION AT BANGALORE.• DONATION AT DELHI• PRESENTED FIRST WIG ON 8.8.13.
ACHIEVEMENTS• In 10 months hair donation has become a movement in Chennai, Bangalore and
Kerala and over 3000 have donated at various events• Educated millions about hair donation through facebook page and over 14
events which were widely covered by media in 4 states• The first campaign in Kerala to donate wigs • The first major campaign in India to collect hair from all over India and conduct
events• Donated 28 wigs till date. This is in addition to wigs donated by various
organisations who held hair for Hope events.
• (Owing to lack of funds our objective was to create awareness all over India by encouraging and assisting organisations to hold events)
• The page has crossed 7400 fans and has reached 668,000 people in less than an year
• The only campaign with zero funds using only social media and PR.Only ofthe cost
PLAN• Hair for hope was started by Ms Premi Mathew to create awareness
about hair donations and save the hair from the bin. We have partnered with Dr Moopen’s foundation who will sponsor the cost of manufacturing the wigs. The wigs will be manufactured at , Ernakulam. Any deserving chemo patient could contact hair for hope by email for a wig. It will be on first come first served basis if the person qualifies.
• The current plan is to invite schools and colleges to hold mass donations in various parts of Kerala a/country. Hair will be sent to wig maker who will convert it into wigs .The cost of 30 wigs will be borne By Dr Moopen's foundation. Individuals can also send the hair directly to a registered charitable trust at Hair for Hope India,

• 2. To donate to Pantene BeautifulLengths in the USA. They needonly 8" and will convert it into wigs free of cost for distribution to chemo patients in America.
