HARI Times JUN-AUG 2014
Dear Devotees,
April and May were full of events that were well attended. Gudi Padva, Ram Navmi, Mahaveer Jayanthi, Hanuman Jayanthi, Matha Ki Chowki, and Annamacharya Aradhana were celebrated with devotion and fer-vor. Summer is here and HARI is gearing up to bring a lot of valuable programs for the community. Shrimad Bhagavat Gita Discourse, JK Yog, Sunday School Graduation, HARI Fair, Krishna Janmashtami, and Ganesh Chaturti are all around the corner waiting to bring color to our summer.
On a separate note, we need to bring your attention to the building maintenance. The present building-structure is nearly 30 years old and warrants special attention. This year, we have identified several mainte-nance projects and are addressing as they surface and/or based on BOT assigned priority and/or according to the availability of funds. Some of these projects (and their status) are as follows:
· Well pumps: Replaced two well-pumps and repaired the third (completed)
· Priest quarters: Presently used by HARI School students. New bath-tub, sink, vanity, plumbing,
etc. done; cleaned; and painted (completed)
· Upper level entrance-room (small entrance room at the backside): Roof on that small room will be
replaced and secured appropriately and small cracks in the walls will be repaired (in the process of
awarding the contract)
· Windows: Seventeen old windows (from 1986) will be replaced (in the process of awarding the
contract)
· Skylights: Two leaky skylights will be replaced (in the process of awarding contract)
· Main Gate: Over the years, the main gate has sustained severe damage due to moisture penetra-
tion within its frame. This will be repaired and repainted (in the process of evaluating the extent of
damage / awarding the contract)
· Flags: The US Flag that was installed few years back will be replaced. Also, thanks to a special
donation received from a devotee, new flag poles will be installed (one for US and the other for In-
dia). A third flag representing Sanatan Dharma (Hindu Religion) will also be introduced (in the pro-
cess of awarding the contract).
· Finally, about acquiring additional land for parking purpose. The BOT, in principal, has approved
the purchase of about three-acre of land, located next to the temple (north of temple). If all permis-
sions – local, county, and state – there will be a space for additional 100 vehicles.
In summary, devoted HARI volunteers are keeping busy with several projects. We certainly would appreci-
ate your absolute support, both in spirit and monetarily.

HARI SCHOOL
Namaste!
We will complete another successful school year in June. HARI School is a great opportunity for young
children to be exposed to our culture, religion and languages. HARI School also gives youths an opportunity
to learn a deeper meaning of our religion and it also gives them an opportunity for community service.
On March 23, the students performed a variety program including prayer, recitals, skits and dances in
celebration of Holi. The program was attended by more than 200 devotees. Students are now preparing for
the graduation program. We invite you all to attend the graduation program at 10 am on June 8.
Many volunteer teachers worked hard teaching languages, religion, music and dances to the students.
We sincerely thank all the volunteer teachers for their effort.
We also thank executive committee and board of trusties for their constant support to the school. Thanks
to our lunch coordinators for planning lunch every Sunday and thanks to all the parents for preparing won-
derful meals for students through out the year.
Hope you enjoy the summer vacation. We encourage every one to bring their children to HARI School
for the upcoming school year. Registration forms are available on the website. Feel free to contact us
about questions regarding school. Our contact details are available on website.
HARI School will reopen on Sunday, Sept 7. Hope to see you soon.
