General Information

Moonlight reserves the right to change at any time and without prior warning the technical specifica-tion of any product in this catalogue. No part of this catalogue may be copied without a written authorisation of Moonlight. The luminaires in the catalogue are designed and patented by Moonlight.

The secondary reflector systems are patented by Bartenbach Lichtlabor and manufactured by Moonlight under the licience of Bartenbach Lichtlabor.

Unless specially indicated, the luminaires are sup-plied without lamps. All dimensions are in milli-metres. Voltages given refer to main frequency of 50/60 Hz.

All electrical equipment is installed in accordance with IEC regulations.

Moonlight lighting systems have been extensively developed to meet the exacting demands of Light Pollution requirements.

The standard finishing of the products are speci-fied in the product description. The products can also be finished in RAL colours on request subject to availability.

The technical features of our fixtures conform to regulations of EN60598-1-2.

Our packing, installation instruc-tions and delivery documents are labelled with the CE sign.

GOST-R

Moonlight fixtures are in compliance with GOST-R (Russian Federation Standards)

ENEC

The fixtures are KEMA tested and carry the ENEC (European Norms Electrical Certification) sign. ENEC titles the agreement on the use of a commonly agreed mark of con-formity for luminaires and relevant components complying with Euro-pean Standards. The purpose is to grant a common European mark on the basis of applicable European standards and to strive for elimi-nation of existing special national conditions and national deviations, valid in the countries of the ENEC Signatories.

Pole LuminairesIt is clear that exterior lighting makes a dramatic first impression. Combin-ing aesthetic detailing, die-cast alu-minium production range provides innovative illumination for urban and residential areas.

The poles are available with base plates and anchorage sets, also in ground buried and in different heights and diameters. Moonlight pole luminaires are resistant to high wind and offer considerable resis-tance to atmospheric agents. The poles are available in galvanized steel or aluminium with corrosion re-sistant die-cast aluminium arms and brackets etc.

Secondary Reflector Systems Required field of radiation

Curved facetted systems are based on projector - mirror - technology, light concentrated from a primary reflector is aimed to a mirror field which reflects the light according to lighting design demands.

Reduced glare due to spot light redirection

Systems providing required flat an-gles of radiation in principle risk of producing glare. With spot light redi-rection, projector mirror systems re-duce glare to minimum. By arrang-ing facets with alternating curvature (concave and convex) smooth links between facets can be achieved and multiple reflection and shading can be avoided.

Technology of the future

The facets with alternating curvature and concave curved facets provide innovative performance.

OpticalPrimary reflector in pure anod-

ized aluminium. Indirect lighting system for effective illumination eliminating excess light emis-

sion designed for discharge lamps. Asymmetrical illumination, achieved with a secondary reflector (complex facets fields with mixed

curvature) decomposing the light emitted by the primary reflector. The primary reflector part integrated into the floodlight radiates the narrow beam light on the secondary reflector mirror field fixed above. The entire reflector radiation of the primary reflector is focused on the secondary reflector screen above. Direct glare is therefore impossible and there is a controlled illumination with zero

light pollution.

The secondary reflector screen is compound from several different con-vex and concave reflecting facets. Due to the highly specular surface of the facets; the reflected light is perfectly radiated in pre-defined angles of radiation. By arranging facets with alternating curva-ture (concave and convex) smooth links between facets can be realized and multiple reflection and shading can be avoided.

Moonlight reflector technology enables maximum light out-put. High purity anodized aluminium primary reflector has been carefully engineered to provide outstanding visual uniformity and light emission to illuminate exactly with-in the surface of the secondary reflector facets. The luminaire is designed to Metal Halide Discharge lamps and is used increasingly for park and pe-destrian lighting with high lumen output, low power costs, low failure rate and long life.

The system is planned to provide illu-mination of urban areas of cities from a mounting height of approx. 10 m. The system is available in single and

double versions.

Electrical

Ballast is a magnetic HPF and incorporated control gear, ignitor and capacitor integrated. Electronic power control gear is available for 150 W HIT lamps.

Installation is guaranteed with earthling both in the lumi-naire and pole. (Electrical Insulation: CLASS I).

The system complies with European standards EN60598 and ENEC marked.

Finishing

Poles are available in galvanized steel with liquid paint for high corrosion resistance. The poles offer considerable resistance to atmospheric agents and supplied with base plate and anchorage set in galvanized steel to be fixed in concrete fixing.

Light fitting is powder coated. Moonlight powder coating system engineered to provide the superior quality finish suitable for all weather conditions.

Black, grey and dark grey colours standard. RAL colours upon request.

Spot- Light Decomposition

Decomposition of the light source in many small light points (one in each facets), each reflecting exactly according to the lighting design require-ments. In areas outside the allowed angles of radiation luminance is dra-matically reduced (cut off) due to perfect surfaces of the facets (highly specular, no surface scattering). Due to spot light decomposition glare is dramatically reduced. Small spot lights, homogeneously distributed on the secondary mirror, realised with 4 x 33 facets with complex surface geometry.

Ballast is a magnetic HPF and incorporated control gear, ignitor and ca-pacitor integrated. Electronic power control gear is available for 150 W HIT lamps.

Installation is guaranteed with earthling both in the luminaire and pole. (Electrical Insulation: CLASS I).

The system complies with European standards EN60598 and ENEC marked.

Poles are available in galvanized steel with primary powder coating for high corrosion resistance and also in aluminium on request. Asymmetrical illumination, achieved with a second-ary reflector (complex facets fields with mixed curvature) decomposing the light emitted by the primary reflector. The primary reflector part in-tegrated into the floodlight radiates the narrow beam light on the sec-ondary reflector mirror field fixed above. The entire reflector radiation of the primary reflector is focused on the secondary reflector screen above. Direct glare is therefore impossible and there is a controlled illumination with zero light pollution.

The secondary reflector screen is compound from several differ-ent convex and concave reflecting facets. Due to the highly specu-lar surface of the facets; the reflected light is perfectly radiated in pre-defined angles of radiation. By arranging facets with alternating curvature (concave and convex) smooth links between facets can be realized and multiple reflection and shading can be avoided.

Moonlight reflector technology enables maximum light output. High purity anodized aluminium primary reflector has been carefully engi-neered to provide outstanding visual uniformity and light emission to illuminate exactly within the surface of the secondary reflector facets.

Recessed luminaires either for floors or walls are able to meet the re-quired lighting requirements. Recessed in-ground luminaires available with appreciable upwards beam direction for tracing or marking applications or to enhance your design.

The in-ground recessed luminaires are technically and decoratively developed with a high resistance to corrosive and environmental ele-ments. The body is constructed from corrosion resistant aluminium die-cast with toughened glass. Stainless steel screws and durable silicone rubber gaskets are the highlights of the products.

The recessed wall luminaires are used where low mounting heights illumination is required for steps, marking or tracing of aisles and pathways.
