Have you found any other stories about George
and the Dragon?
Perhaps you have heard a similar story to it.
We will read some
of these in the
classroom next
week!
![Page 14: Here be Dragons!](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022012521/61955959b15003115e04de62/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
Thursday
If you were going to tell a story of George and the
Dragon how would it start?
Go back and have a listen to one of the stories if
you need to.
Would your story start the same or would it be
different to those that we have read or heard so
far?
![Page 15: Here be Dragons!](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022012521/61955959b15003115e04de62/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
Remember the questions we need to
ask ourselves when writing.
Who? Who are the characters are in your story?
What? What happens in your story?
Where? Where is your story set?
When? When did it happen?
Why? Why did it happen?
![Page 16: Here be Dragons!](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022012521/61955959b15003115e04de62/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
What about the middle?
The middle is where the exciting
parts of the story sit. This is where
you can really use you imagination.
![Page 17: Here be Dragons!](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022012521/61955959b15003115e04de62/html5/thumbnails/17.jpg)
The Ending
What needs to go here?
This is where you bring you story to a close
with the outcome.
Will you have a happy ending? Will it be sad?
Or will it have a cliff hanger that leads to a
sequel?
![Page 18: Here be Dragons!](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022012521/61955959b15003115e04de62/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
Use the story board plan to outline a George and the
Dragon story. You can extend it if you prefer but make
sure it has a clear beginning, middle and end.
Tomorrow you will write the story.
![Page 19: Here be Dragons!](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022012521/61955959b15003115e04de62/html5/thumbnails/19.jpg)
Friday
Now it is your turn to write a story about George and the Dragon.
Use your storyboard to help you.
Include all the punctuation we have learnt so far.
Remember: This is your own story so anything can happen!
![Page 20: Here be Dragons!](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022012521/61955959b15003115e04de62/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)
