The natural and cultural heritage of West-Belconnen
Come and help us launch the Ginninderry Postcards and Ginninderry Treasures booklet, which recognise some of our significant history and surrounding natural features. Isla Patterson’s Pioneer Places exhibition, featuring exquisite watercolours of local, historical homesteads, is also on display at The Link for this event – direct from the Hall Museum.
Historian and author Dr Mary Hutchison has been unearthing the treasures of our local area and delving into the lives of Ginninderry’s first settlers and early pioneers since undertaking Ginninderry’s Local History Study in 2016.
Mary will be joined by Alastair Crombie, Honorary Curator of Hall Museum, and Helen Oakey, Conservation Council Director, who will speak about the importance of preserving our natural heritage.
All attendees will receive a complimentary set of Ginninderry postcards and a Ginninderry Treasures booklet.
