Jodhamal Public School shines at IAYP Gold Award Ceremony at India International Centre New Delhi held on 14th July, 2016. Gold Award winners Arpita Salgotra, Ullas Mahajan, Shivani Verma & Mayank Mahajan were highly elated to receive this award from the ace Cricketer Mr Abbas Ali Baig. Director IAYP Mr. Kapil Bhalla and Programme Manager Mr. Bivujit Mukhoti had all praises for JMPS which is the Only YES CENTRE for IAYP in Jammu and Kashmir State. Mrs. Shallu Sharma and Mrs. Deepta Khushoo were given awards for their meritorious services. Director IAYP, Kapil Bhalla and Programme Manager Bivujit Mukhoti had all praises for Jodhamal Public School.

Jodhamal Public School has been ranked as the Best Co-educational School in J&K, consecutively for the year 2014-15 and 2015-16 by the prestigious Magazine, Education World. The School has been ranked number one in the State as well as in the Jammu City leading all the top notched schools in J&K. Tony Blair Face to Faith Foundation
Students of Jodhamal Public School excelled in 10th Annual Doon School Model United Conference (DSMUN) Conference at Dehradun. JMPS sent their delegation comprising 13 delegates to the Conference, escorted by Ms. Bhawna (Faculty Advisor) and Mr. Irfan Choudhary (Sports Faculty).The delegates Harsimar Kaur and Nimisha Shukla won the best delegates in the respective committees. Shrija Jhinkwan, Vidhur Kumar and Dhvani Gupta won the honourable mention and Kshitij Sethi and Gunjan Singh won the verbal commendation. The other delegates like Mudabbir Latifi, Muhamad Raza, Dravin Mahajan, Razeen Haneef, Dhairya Choudhary, Vasu Sharma were highly appreciated by the faculty advisor of DSMUN. On this achievement of the students, Principal Trilok Singh Bist felicitated the students in a special assembly wherein they shared their experiences.
Doon School Model United Nations Conference
Jodhamal was awarded the Outstanding School Award for it’s performance during the last two years under the leadership of the school Principal Trilok Singh Bist and the Coordinator Ms. Mubeen Butt and the Technical helps Kiranjeet Kaur & Sheetal Kotwal. Recently F2F has been renamed as Generation Global. The teachers who are awarded the Outstanding Award for their contribution are Monika Sethi the Vice Principal, Mubeen Butt, Kiranjeet Kaur, Sheetal Kotwal, Akriti Sethi, Bhawna Madaan, Shallu Sharma and Deepta Khussoo. This award was presented by the British Council Teaching Assistants from UK Benjamin Gander & William Tuohy to Mubeen Butt and the other recipients of this award in a special ceremony.
Contribution Towards the Community The Jodhamal management and Jodhamal students are working neck to neck with their counterpart in the society and are contributing their maximum every month at adopted village Pirthipur, Tehsil Bishnah, Jammu. Till date, 1 Printer and 2 Computers with UPS were donated to Govt. Primary School Ismailpur Kothey. More than 123 Neon Bulbs replaced with CFL in about 110 houses in the Ismailpur villages, under conservation of Energy Scheme. 150 medicinal plants were planted in the area of Seohara Village. A Free Medical Camp was organized by the school to educate the villagers on population control, health conditions and use of more and more hygienic modes. A Presentation on Bio-Diversity was delivered to large number of local villagers.2 x Ceiling fans were donated to the Govt. Primary School Ismailpur Kothey. 50 insect repellents and antiseptic liquids etc. 6 Sets of 8 books each for Preschool and classes 1 to 6 was donated to the Govt. Primary School Ismailpur Kothey.
International Artist Nikhil Chopra Performs at JMPS
Jodhamal Public School witnessed the fastest feature
film shot, edited, digitalized and screened on the same
day as a part of Vickrant Mahajan's endeavour to make
another Guinness World Record as a part of his Super
Positivity Unlimited Movement. A movie called "Kabeer
Chacha" by Vickrant Mahajan which was shot at
Jodhamal Public School Jammu with Vickrant Mahajan
playing Kabeer Chacha, the driver to the Principal of the
school Trilok Singh Bist. The complete movie from
conceptualizing to shooting to editing to premier
screening was done within 17 hours.

The stage of Jodhamal was enraptured by internationally acclaimed LIVE performance artist, Nikhil Chopra. He is a permanent invitee to Vince, Paris and Berlin Art Festivals. He left the students spellbound and mesmerized by performing LIVE in front of them. The School Management appreciated his unique skill and presented a memento as a thankyou gesture. Mr Nandan Kuthiala, Trustee Jodhamal Public School, Mr Naveen Chopra, and Ms Monika Sethi, Vice Principal Jodhamal School were present.
Jodhamal Public School conducted two days workshop for their faculty member. Dr. Jay Kumar Singh from Silverline Educational Services, New Delhi was the CBSE Resources Person for this workshop. The complete batch of 135 teachers (PGTs, TGTs and PRTs) attended the workshop with full vigour and enthusiasm. The aim of this workshop was incorporation of Bloom’s Taxonomy & Multiple Intelligence in the Lesson Planning for Teachers at Jodhamal School and also to groom and prepare the teachers, to face challenges of the 21st Century. The School Principal, Mr Trilok Singh Bist and Trustee, Mr Nandan Kuthiala gave away the Memento to the Resources Person. Vice Principal, Ms Monika Sethi presented the Vote of Thanks.

Jodhamal School added a new feather to its cap with the exemplary performance of Abhishek Abrol, a student of Jodhamal Public School, in the U-17 Cricket Team of J&K, at Youth Nationals Cricket Tournament, organized by the School Federation of India at Indore. The upcoming Cricketer was one of 16 students from the Under-17 Team in J&K, selected to represent J&K in the Inter-State Cricket Matches. The school Principal, Mr Trilok Singh Bist felicitated Abhishek Abrol in the school assembly and lauded the efforts of Mr Sukomal Ganguly and Mr Akash, Coach of The Cricket Club for honing the students and developing more students for U-17 team.
Jodhamal Welcomes the British Teaching Assistants
Yet once again Jodhamal students welcomed the British Teaching Assistants Mr. Benjamin Gander & Mr. William Tuohy. In the same series last year Ms. Rebecca Jerrum and Ms. Lourine Bridgeman came for three months and now Benjamin Gander & Williams Tuohy have joined Jodhamal at a very positive note. They will contribute to the academic upliftment of the school, as Both are Masters in Political Science and Architecture respectively are all set to percolate down their knowledge to the students of Jodhamal as William has been taking Political Science and English Long reading text for senior classes whereas Ben is taking the long reading text and Basketball lessons.

Yuvraj Singh of Jodhamal brought laurels to school and state as well by clinching the Gold Medal in Mix Double in the Drop Roball Nationals, held at Bhopal (M.P). Yuvraj has also been selected for India Camp. Principal, Mr. Trilok Singh Bist felicitated the Winner and appreciated Mr Irfan Choudhary, Coach Jodhamal School for preparing the child for this event. Drop Roball is a game played by single hand like badminton and table tennis and very few students from J & K are exposed to this game. Yuvraj has really been working very hard to come to this level.
Jodhamal School Girls Basketball Team won Silver
Jodhamal School Girls Basketball Team won Silver Medal in the recently concluded Basketball Tournament at M.A.M Stadium Jammu. There were four Schools who participated in this Tournament on league basis. Jodhamal Team did very well and reached the Finals but had to be satisfied with the Silver only. The team comprised of Danish Koul, Navisha Gupta, Antriksha Pathania, Ishita Dhar, Irwin Kour, Nimisha Shukla, Harkirat Kour, Lavanya, Priyadarshi and Shrishti. The School Coach Mr Vinod Dogra and Mr Irfan Choudhary lauded the efforts of the team.

To mark the 70th Independence Day, enthusiastic
students of Jodhamal Public School, celebrated
Independence Day amidst patriotic fervour and
gaiety. Children attired as freedom fighters
spoke their eminent speeches enlightening
everyone. Dances were presented and song
sung, taking everybody back to freedom movement.
The Chief Guest for the special day was
Mr Mubassir Latifi (KPS), Sr. Superintendent of Police,
Crime Branch, Jammu, who graced the occasion.
Piyush Bhagat Performs At His Alama Mater
Piyush Bhagat, a finalist for the Star Plus Reality
Dance Show Dance+2, came back to his Alma Mater,
Jodhamal Public School. The complete team of
Star Plus also escorted him. Piyush Bhagat is amongst
the finest dancers of his generation, who has the
experience of being assistant Choreographer for
famous Bollywood Star Hritik Roshan in Bang movie.
In the last four years of Star Plus, he was mentored by
World famous Choreographers REMO DSOUZA,
BOSCO and CEASAR.

In the Inter School Shakespearean Theatre Competition,
Jodhamal School made a clean sweep by winning the
first prize. There were around 14 schools from the
town pitched against each other for the creative literary
skills and each team had to showcase a theatre by
Shakespeare. Milind Pandita, Bhavdeep, Dristhant
Mahajan, Parth Jain, Zitin Koul, Manav Gupta and
Adhyan all played their character as if they were in the
era. The teachers who prepared the kids were Vandana
Jain, Radhika Sharma, Deepika Ibekule and directed by
Naveen Chopra. Milind Pandita was adjudged the Best
Actor whereas Bhavdeep Singh was the Best Actor in
supporting role.
Inter-School Football Competition
Youth Services & Sports Department, Jammu hosted
Inter-School Football matches, Jodhamal Team
comprising of Akshit Sharma (Captain), Aryan
Gupta, Aryan Behl, Ayan Dev, Ayush Sharma, Jarnail
Singh, Jaskaran Singh, Amitoj (Goal Keeper), Naman
Chandoke (Goal Keeper), Akshat, Sarthak, Mankaran,
Alabh Raj, Shushank, Prikshit, Nipun, Anmol
Chandoke, Aras and Sanad Madaan, won four matches
out of five and was declared Runners Up.
The team was coached by Mr. Balvinder Kumar.
Inter School Table Tennis State Championship
11 Even Sports Inter-School Table Tennis
Championship was jointly organised by 11 Even
Sports Private Limited and J&K State Table Tennis
Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here
on Wednesday. In junior boys category, Saksham
Verma, Rohan Langer, Kunwarjot Singh and Saimik
belonging to Jodhamal Public School won Gold
medal. Speaker, Legislative Assembly Kavinder
Gupta distributed medals among the winners of the
championship in their respective categories and
Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar
Sharma and other senior officers were also present
on the occasion.

Newly inducted council for juniors was conferred with badges and sashes in front of jubilant parents.
The Junior School Head Boy, Palmer Singh and Head Girl, Daania Butt took the oath to lead by example and without
pride or prejudice. DSPL are Aarya Mahajan & Rushda Fatima; Sports Captains are Yuvraj Singh & Livanya Mehta;
CCA Incharges were Anish Arora & Snigdha Gupta; Eco Leaders are Rudra Pratap Singh & Shravani Kapoor; Discipline
Incharges are Eklavya Mahajan & Yashasvee Rathore; Challenge House Captains are Shivansh Garg, Sheikh Sabran
& Kripa Grover; Discovery House Captains are Ridham Sharma & Anandita Handa; Enterprise House Captains are
Luke Ja koinao & Arshia Gupta ; Invention House Captains Aniket Kumar & Nitika Langeh were adorned with their
badges by the Chief Guest in the Presence of the staff, students and their parents. House Vice Captains of the four
houses, Arhan Mahajan, Siya Sharma, Harmanjot Singh, Krishika Koul, Aradhya Jamwal, Kanav Prabhakar, Saarthak
Jain & Smaira Jamwal were also inducted to the office of the Prefect Council of Jodhamal Juniors. The Chief Guest

Scouts & Guides Training Camp
Youth Sports and Services J&K, organized a four days in-house
Dwitya and Tritya Sopan Camp for Scouts and Guides. A total
of 200 students from different schools participated in this
Camp. A total of 12 students from Jodhamal Public School
underwent the various training imparted at this camp. The
children learnt how to knot, pitching of tent, pioneering and
first aid etc. The culmination ceremony was held at Model
Academy B.C Road Jammu. The school management and the
school Principal, Mr Trilok Singh Bist appreciated the efforts
put in by the students in learning the various techniques during
this camp.The children were accompanied by Guide Captain
Ms Dolly Chandhoke and Ms Manvinder Kour.
Cafe Coffee Day Head Operations (COO) Sunil Nair visited
Jodhamal today to interact with Commerce & Humanities
Students of Jodhamal. It was a talk on how to set goals
and how to work to achieve these goals.
He told the kids to start respecting the dignity of labour
and ensure that you have a goal and that goal needs to
be written and spoken many times so that you know that
you are always aware that that goal has to be achieved.
Head Boy Hasit Sachdeva & Head Girl Navisha Gupta
presented a token of love, gratitude and respect to the
Guest and had a lot of interaction on Goal Setting and
living the passion.

A two day long workshop on Assessment of Speaking
and Listening skills was conducted in Jodhamal Public
School on 8th and 9th sept respectively. This workshop
was organized by CBSE to implement and reinforce the
ASL skills. The workshop was attended by almost 57
English teachers across the North zone. The two
resource persons from CBSE namely Dr. Pallavi Sethi
from Ludhiana and Ms. Amanpreet Kour from Mohali
laid stress on to implement ASL right from class 1 grade
so as to improve the speaking skills and boost
confidence among the students thereby discussing the
assessment criteria, procedures and objectives of
conducting this assessment test was discussed in detail.

Jodhamal Bid a Farewell to Benjamin Gander and
William Tuohy the British Teaching Assistants who
worked at Jodhamal for two months under the UK
Generation Programme of British Council for 2016.
Principal Trilok Singh Bist, Vice Principal Monika Sethi
and all teachers and students bid them a Farewell in a
special assembly and appreciated their contribution at
this short stint they spent here as Teaching Assistants.
The cultural exchange the kids could witness through
this interaction was a part of the experiential learning
module for the students where there were amazing
conversations taking place comparing cultures &
traditions of the two countries INDIA & UK. Nandan
Kuthiala and Arati Kuthiala, the Trustees of JMPS
honoured them by presenting typical Kashmiri Shawls
as token of love, appreciation and remembrance.
Inter House Football Competition
Jodhamal Public School had Final Match in the Inter House Football Tournament between Challenge House &
Invention House today. Both the teams played very well and was a tooth n nail fight. First goal of the match was
a header by Milind Pandita and Namit of Invention covered up by a direct goal and after half time both teams
were at 2 goals each which pushed the game into Penalty shoots and Invention won 3 goals to 2 in the Penalty
shots.
Inter House Basket Ball Competition
Inter House Basketball Final Match was played between Challenge House and Invention House at Jodhamal
Public School in which Challenge won with a good margin but both Teams played some very good eye catching
shots and baskets during the game. Challenge lived up to their Motto Look for a way and not a way out and
Invention too to their Motto- Invents only with memory. On the other hand in the Boys Category it was Invention
House which won the Tournament and they really made the Enterprise House to look back and see where the
lack of coordination in their team was. Ishwarjeet Bali and Harshvardan Khajuria were literally on fire in this
wonderful match.
Inter House Swimming Competition
On the 26th of August 2016, a hot sunny day, all the participants and the cheering houses contributed their best
to make the Inter House Swimming Competition a complete success. All the participants put in their best to
emerge victorious and the determination to win shone through every performance in the pool. They performed
spectacularly. The excitement and enthusiasm instilled in the spectators was boundless. Invention House took
over the Overall Trophy with great pride. Enterprise House stood second followed by Challenge House.
Inter House Skating Competition
An Inter-House Skating Competition was organized for Classes I-V. The top-notch skaters of JMPS gave stellar
performances and brought laurels to their respective houses. The results of the competition are as follows:

Inter-House Patriotic Song Competition was organised wherein the students of classes VI to XII participated
and gave their melodious presentations. All the songs presented by different houses were laced with
patriotism.
