Students at Riviera Elementary School aretaught more than just reading, writing andarithmetic. They also learn how to berespectful, caring, trustworthy, fair,
responsible and a good citizen sixpillars of character we all hope toemulate.
For more than 10 years, RivierasCharacter Counts program has providedstudents with a framework on which tobase their behavioral choices. Throughdaily lessons and classroom management
students are taught how a person ofcharacter acts and behaves in different
situations.
Igor has sponsored Rivieras CharacterCounts program every year since 2005.All three of his children (now 21, 19 and17) attended Riviera, as did his wife, SuzySilver Nastaskin.

Character Counts atRiviera Elementary
practice the pillars of good character.The funds have also been used to holdCharacter Counts essay and muralcontests, and then recreate students
artwork around campus with theassistance of a local muralist. Hissponsorship also allows the school topurchase items for their peer mediatorprogram as well as Character Countsstudent incentives, such as pizza with theprincipal.
This years Character Counts assembly,called Bully Dudes, featuredprofessional performers in an engagingpresentation that covered verbal andpsychological bullying, playground
bullying, girl bullying, reporting a bullyand what to do if the bully is your friend.Previously, the Drumming Up Characterassembly encouraged students to userhythms, drum playing, dances and songsto learn about positive traits such asfairness, responsibility and respect.
Our students and staff really enjoy theCharacter Counts program and its impactcan be seen in the fact that we have veryfew behavior referrals to the office,said Christie Forshey, principal at Riviera

To whom it may concern,We began our house hunting in late 2011 but the internet searches on real estate websites dont really compare to
what Igor was able to do for us. Igor came highly recommended to us from a coworker and we couldnt have been more
fortunate. To put things in perspective, our first experience with a realtor many years ago was what I now consider thebare minimum. The bare minimum includes helping coordinate seeing homes you like and help with the paperworkinvolved. Igor is your personal assistant in the home finding and purchasing process. He is very prompt, responsive,and is on top of all the players involved to make sure things get done. He doesnt play any games, has high integrity,and is very motivated to make sure you are comfortable with the process. So if youre looking to play gamesor haveulterior motivesI beg you to not waste his time.
He began by assessing our current living situation to get a feel for our style and what we were looking for. He notonly arranged a variety of homes to look at but also took us around the neighboring areas we did not know about sothat we would have a better understanding of the area. He even took us out to lunch. We emailed Igor quite oftenasking about various homes and he was able to tell us various pieces of information, like if the traffic was bad in thatarea. The home we ended up buying was actually a client of his and he let us see it before it went on the market. It wasin a neighborhood we felt was a good match for us and we told himKeep an eye out for a home in the neighbor-hood. Oddly enough the owners of the home had very similar tastes to us. I do not think this was a coincidence. Igorhas a way of finding the right match.
In order to get our loan approved we needed to rent our home. Our thought was that we could probably do it our-selves, but Igor could do it faster and quite frankly, more competently. We were right. He helped stage our home, tookbeautiful photos, and gave us daily updates on what each possible tenant was like. We had multiple families interestedin our home and found great tenants in less than a week.
Igor is also highly connected. The home inspector he used created the most detailed inspection report we had everseen. He recommended a great gardener who we use now. Our washing machine broke the day before our move and heknew a repairman who was able to come out the next day (he also gave us a discount because Igor referred us).
Buying a home in 2012 is not easy. There are a lot of hurdles. The amount of activities that have to occur is incredibleand Igor makes it all happen. Im talking about scheduling the appraisal, making sure our broker had everything theyneeded, the home inspection, getting electrical and plumbing repair estimates, etc. We werent his only clients but wesure felt like we were his top priority. Even after we closed escrow, Igor still calls to make sure that everything is okwith the move and the new home. If you are looking for a home in the South Bay, call Igor.
