code for this and can be adapted to any type
of CPU and realtime operating system. Open
interfaces are used to connect your hardware
and existing firmware. Motion control is also
integrated into your system in this way.
Comprehensive debugging functions simplify
troubleshooting. you can set breakpoints at any
point in the PLC application and continue in single
steps. In fast processes, the logic analyzer can be
used to detect critical events. Complex problems
can thus be detected in the machine sequence.

The programming system SAfEPROG makes it

SAfECONf provides optimum support for the quick

Scalable communication is required in order
to network the various heterogeneous devices
in process plants. fDT/DTM can be used
to parameterize all the devices in the plant
independently of the network. PROfINET also
enables process data and IT protocols to be
transmitted simultaneously and thus creates a
seamless connection between the office and factory.
A high level of availability is also essential for
process plants. This is primarily achieved through
redundancy. The MULTIPROG programming
software loads the application on two CPUs. If one
of the CPUs fails, it switches over to the second
CPU without any interruption. PROfINET enables
redundant networks to be created and new devices
to be parameterized while the network is running.
Scalable communicationProcess plants are extensive installations and are controlled from a central control room. A variety of different devices are networked with each other. Open network technologies enable the seamless integration of devices in the plant.

Instead of only implementing the function on the
device in a high-level language (e.g., C++), high-level
languages can now be combined with IEC 61131
programming languages using the ProConOS
embedded CLR runtime system. This creates a
smooth transition from a fixed function to a flexible
one. Special customer requirements can thus be
implemented on site with the programming system
MULTIPROG Express. If devices are to be integrated
into a PROfINET network, the fastest and easiest
method is to use the PROFINET device chip TPS-1.
