ThermographicproofByviewingathermographimageofadoorway,theperformanceofanaircurtaincanbefully

curtainisnotproperlyset.Itblowseithertoostrongortooweak,withadischargetemperaturethatistoohighoritisnot
switchedonatall.Asaresultthereisenergyloss,lowcomfort(draught)andanunnecessarilyhighnoiselevel.
Specificallybecauseaircurtainsareintendedtosaveenergyandprovideahighdegreeofcomfort,Biddlehasdevelopedthe
fullyautomaticandenergysavingCHIPS-technology.TheCHIPS-technologyadjuststhedischargetemperatureandthestrength
oftheairstreamtothechangingconditionsroundthedoorwayindependentofeachother.Thetechnologyhasbeentranslated

PrecisesettingsTheaircurtainisequippedasstandardwithenergysavingandhighperformanceECfans.Thesefanshavesteplesscontrol.
Theautomaticcontroldoesnothavetochoosebetweenpre-determinedspeedsettings,butcanbesettotheexactlevel

IndAC ,Biddlechosetouseitswell-knownoutletdischargepattern,theDoubleRectifier.The
IndAC isequippedwithradialbackwardcurvedfanswhichhomogeneouslydistributetheair
acrossthewholedischargeopening,producinghighefficiencyandcomfortlevels.

IfaconventionalindustrialaircurtainwithoutarectifierdischargesairatthesamevelocityasaunitwithaDoubleRectifier,the
downwardpenetrationistangiblyless.Theairstreamdoesnotreachthefloor,andtheopendoorisnotcoveredoffproperly.
Consequencesincludedraught,lossofheatandcomfortcomplaints.
ExcellentdownwardpenetrationDuetotheindustrialaircurtainwithaDoubleRectifiertheincomingcoldairisheatedsothatitisnolongerexperiencedas
draught.TheDoubleRectifierhasverticalfinsmountedontopofthehorizontalfinstostreamlinetheairflowinabetterway,
resultinginanexcellentdownwardpenetration.
TheIndAC makessuretheair,whichisabouttoflowoutthroughtheopendoor,staysintheroom.TheDoubleRectifier,which
minimizesturbulenceinthedischargeairstreamandsurroundingair,ensuresthattheairmovementgeneratedbythefans,is
directeddownwardinadeeplypenetratinglaminarairstream.Asaconsequencetheenergyconsumptionisreducedand
comfortlevelsareincreasedallyearround.

pressureis16barat120ºC.ThewaterconnectionsoftheH1p-batteryhaveflanges.The
maximumoperatingpressureis23,8barat175°C.Theelectricheatingbatteryis
manufacturedwithaluminiumfins.Thebatteryiscontrolledelectronicallyandfittedwith

WatersidepressurelossWhenwatertemperaturesotherthanthevaluesrepresentedinthetablesareused,thewatersidepressurelosscanbe
calculatedusingtheformulabelow.Todoso,thewaterflowratemustfirstbecalculated.
SoundThesounddatarepresentedinthetechnicaltablesweremeasuredatadistanceof5mfromthedevice,inaroomwitha
