Unit mission
• Exploit ICT for better program management and coordination at TRAC
• Provide support to the programmatic units (surveillance, care and treatment,
PMTCT/VCT)
• Assist units with project/research design
• Make information available for analysis and decision-making
• Ensure accuracy, quality, integrity of data
• Establish an electronic HIV/AIDS data bank/warehouse at TRAC
Four components• Applied Statistics
– Data analysis, testing for validity and accuracy
– Descriptive analysis

• Database Management– organization, interoperability, access, security
and integrity of all databases
– coordinate data collection activities
– Reports generation from the database for TRAC publications and feedback to data sources
• LAN Administration– Connectivity, and maintenance of a secure
network and all IT equipment
• Information Management– Maintain the content of the TRAC web site, digital
library and digital documents archives
– Train TRAC employees in the exploitation of productivity software
– Support TRAC reporting activities
