Edcast DSP for broadcasting to the server (OggVorbis format) http://www.oddsock.org/tools/edcast/

Icecast for serving. Player playing the stream (e.g. Winamp player)

Ogg Vorbis is smaller and has much better quality

than MP3. Other plugins can be used for MP3 (e.g.

Shoutcast plugin)
