Introducing the Molson Coors Award
scholarship
2
MSc Award and Beer Design Competition
Entering its 3rd year, the MSc award forms part of Molson Coors’ ambition to collaborate and support the
development of the next generation of brewers and beverage specialists.
During 2018-2019, Nottingham students worked on Molson Coors projects such as:
Impact of aroma hops addition regime on sensorial and analytical profiles of single-hopped beer
Alternative FilterAids and their Impact on Lautering
Optimal point of addition of citrus peels in brewing for maximum extraction of citrus aroma volatiles
New in 2018-2019, was the involvement of Molson Coors in a Beer Design module.
MC contributed a craft beer design brief, and students were given the opportunity to pitch their beer to
Supply Chain and Commercial leads from the Molson Coors European business.
We’re working up the design brief for 2019-2020 and look forward to repeating this!
