Kale Developments provides a development service to our clients which encompass a wide range of services covering all aspects of property Development. We strive to provide our clients with a “one stop” property development solution. We manage from inception, land acquisition, initial concepts, construction, commissioning and operation. We have a “team approach” which sees collaboration and participation between all the development stakeholders i.e. the client, professionals, financial institutions, contractors, sales and marketing agents, managing agents, local authorities and often local community. Derek has a Bsc in Quantity surveying that he obtained from the University of Kwazulu natal in 1982. Derek has since been in the construction industry for more than 35 years. He’s got extensive knowledge in property developments, specialising specifically in Turn-key developments. His passion for people has led him to create a number of successful developments in and around the Gauteng area.

Pieter is the company’s CFO. He plays a vital role managing the finances and corporate governance of Tri- Star together with his dynamic team of accounting and administrative staff. He has developed skills in Financial modelling, cash flows, corporate structures and financing.
FrAnS MAArtEnSDevelopMent Manager
Frans maartens is a senior Quantity surveyor with more than 10 years’ experience in the Construction Industry. He obtained his BCom Business Degree in 2008 and his Bsc Honours Degree in Quantity surveying in 2009 from the University of the Free state.
His contribution to the team is dealing with all the financial aspects of the company and setting up project feasibilities, cash flow predictions, contractual admin, consultant appointments, client liaison and construction management .
VoIght uyS project Manager
voight Uys is a project manager with more than 10 years’ experience in the Construction industry. He obtained his BsC. Hons. Construction management degree at the University of pretoria, and he is a member of saCpmp.
He has extensive experience across Construction, project and Development management over a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, retail and industrial developments.
From the early 1990’s with parcor Developments initially, to our current Kale Developments, we have been involved in property development and delivery. We have extensive experience in all sectors of the market namely; Commercial, Industrial, Upmarket Residential, Sectional Title, Affordable housing and student accommodation.
We have been fortunate to have access to our “sister company” Tri-Star Construction which assists in the development of relevant viability studies, construction programs and provides value engineering opportunities.
