Compensation Base to $80,000 plus significant OT as well as monthly and yearly bonus structure

KeyResponsibilities

SUMMARY

A respected DC law firm is looking for an experienced Paralegal, well-versed in ITC 337(International Trade Commission 337), to join its growing department. Ideal candidates will havedemonstrated experience handling a case from beginning to end including trial experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Handle complex case management for ITC 337 cases including discovery, research,Markman hearings and trial preparation and attendancePerform legal research using various research tools, including the Internet, Westlaw,LexisNexis, PACER and various public-access websites Bluebook, shepardize, cite-check and proofread legal documents to ensure proper formattingand compliance with local and federal court rulesObtain all necessary information and materials from vendors, clients and governmentagencies such as the USPTO, PAIR, USITC-EDIS etc.Create, organize and maintain databases, privilege logs and files containing discoverydocuments, physical evidence, summaries, deposition transcripts etc.Assist with paper and electronic discovery process throughout case life cycle, including butnot limited to, document collection, tracking, review and productionDraft, prepare and file briefs and legal documentsAssist with trial preparation: manage trial exhibits; prepare trial notebooks; maintain expertbinders; war room set up; communicate with vendors, experts and fact witnesses etc.

Required Skills 4-10 years large firm experienceMust have trial experience with ITC 337 cases - International Trade CommissionStrong knowledge of USPTO and ITC practices and proceduresProficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, Concordance, Summation, LiveNote, LexisNexis,Westlaw, iCONECT, PACER, Trial Director and other litigation software toolsB.A. or B.S. with Paralegal certificate preferred
