MarcjoinsMövenpickHotels&ResortsfromCarlsonRezidorwherehewasAreaVicePresidentforthefirm’sAfrica&IndianOceanoperations.
HehassignificantexperienceworkingintheMiddleEast,havingalsobeenemployedasRegionalDirector,UAE,Egypt,JordanandOmanforthehotelgroup.HehasalsoheldkeyexecutivepositionsatseveralmajorhospitalitycompaniesincludingHilton,CompassGroupandLondon’sClaridge’sHotel.
OriginallyfromFrance,MarcisagraduateofEcoleHôtelièredeLausannewherehereceivedadegreeinHotelandRestaurantManagement.HealsohasanMBAfromIMHI(Cornell-Essec)inParis.

Gerardboastsmorethanthreedecadesofindustryexperiencehavingworkedinkeyrolesforsomeoftheworld’sleadinghospitalityfirmsacrossfourcontinentsincludingLeMeridienHotels&ResortsandInterContinentalHotelsGroup.
RaisedinFrancewherehelearnedaboutthehospitalitybusinessfromanearlyage,GerardwentontostudyattheprestigiousEcoleHôtelièredeLausanneinSwitzerlandwhereheobtainedadegreeinHotelManagementbeforelaunchinghisinternationalcareerinCanadain1978.
