Tominteold and Shenavail (see the Dewar’s Whisky story) are the next twocrofts along the valley, to the right, looking up from the Tay.
In the 1730s General Wade’s men were billeted here while the Aberfeldy bridge was under construction. In March 1746 the Campbell garrisons were billeted
here in the aftermath of the ‘45, before fleeing to nearby Castle Menzies.
