Bosch presented customer service award

Food processor and supplierassociations mergeThe board of directors of the FoodProcessing Machinery Association(FPMA) recently approved the mergerof their association with the Interna-tional Association of Food IndustrySuppliers (IAFIS). The new associa-tion will be called the Food ProcessingSuppliers Association.

Each of these two associationsbrings a strong history of service toits members. This merger is intendedto prepare for the future and providethe members of each associationwith the strongest possible programsto meet the challenges and exploitthe opportunities of the future.

Richardson Researches class

Bosch Packaging Services Ltd. in theUnited Kingdom has won theannual Processing and PackagingMachinery Association (PPMA)Award of Excellence for CustomerService. This is the second year in arow that the United Kingdom serv-ice company has won the award,having previously won the 2003–04award as Sigpack Services.

The award recognizes a machinerysupplier that has provided excep-tional service and technical backupto its customers. The panel of judgeshighlighted the company’s service e-portal and training concept andcommended the Bosch approach.

Launched earlier this year, the e-portal allows customers to identifyspare parts and access informationsuch as a drawing or photograph,

price, availability and normal deliv-ery times, in addition to being ableto order parts on line. The e-portal iscustomer and plant specific and isprotected with passwords by site andlevels of procurement empowermentwithin the customer’s organization.

Clasen appoints JensenClasen Quality Coatings, Inc.(CQC), has announced that JayJensen has assumed the role of presi-dent, effective immediately.

Jensen has been the owner and anactive chairman of CQC since 1998.

CQC supplies confectionery coat-ings and coating technology to theindustry.
