AuditionRequirements:Jazzcandidatesshouldbepreparedto:
• PerformTWOtunesfromthelistbelowofvaryingstyles.• Performoneadditionalpieceofthecandidate'schoicethatbestdisplaystoneandtechnique.• Studentsmayperformeitherwithafacultyrhythmsectionorarecordedrhythmsection(iRealapp,etc.).
• Studentsareexpectedtodemonstratejazzphrasingandimprovisationalskills(twoormorechoruses).
• Candidatesshouldresearchrecordingsoftheirselectionstomodelintheaudition.
